Hi everybody

If a High elf noble is riding a Griffon, but the the noble is a BSB and carrying the Banner of World Dragon - does the Griffon (monster) also gain a 2+ ward save against magical attacks, spells and so on?

BotWD:
"All models in a unit that carries the Banner of the World Dragon have 2+ ward save against all Wounds caused be spell, magic weapons and magical attacks. Furthermore all Dragons (Friend or foe) within 12" of the Banner of the World Dragon have the stubborn special rule" AB p. 65

Yep, the Griffon is protected. I've been fighting against this and it's quite effective against my Daemons. It's not watertight though, the BSB himself died in the last game.

That's the principle used by Seredain in his latest army lists.
