Congrats on the new edition to the family, she looks a little beauty! Hope its all going well and you're managing to get some sleep in these days!
Just had a bit of a catch up on your paitning log, some cracking work in there. I love your SS last year, really impressive model! (Love the cats too! I have the same problem with mine "helping" as you do!)
Looking forward to seeing the finished product with the dragon, I like the work so far. I would brighten the spines up a little bit if I were you, as has already been said it would make them stand out a little more.
Aicanor wrote:No updates here for too long a time. But this is not a painting update either. Even if it concerns a miniature princess of Saphery. Meet Ema, newest member of House Nenuvar, born 29th of July.
She is of course the reason why there was little painting lately. But I will get back to it... eventually...
Only just caught up with this thread... Congratulations on the little princess of saphery

Besides, the battle of Finuval Plain was more a minor skirmish anyway. A good enough summary would have been "Teclis and Malekith ran into each other. Teclis cast The Dwellers Below on Malekith with IF, and Malekith failed his Strength test." Not much more to it then that really.[/quote]
One lore down, seven to go. Then she is ready for High Magic

Here is my own little Secret Santa WIP (it will go to my "cartoon and research team") So far, I managed to keep it a secret, but he doesn't go here very often. I am a bit rusty not having painted anything for about half a year, so rusty it is.
It will be a challenge to finish now with nobody at home the wiser.
The little princess of Saphery is growing a lot from the look of it . And showing magical abilities (beyond keeping people awake...) at such a young age is amazing
As for the skaven, it's shaping up great. The cartoon and research team is very lucky. And every time I see such lovely skaven models I want to start my own skaven army. Now I just have to convince the missus to let me. I do agree with NexS that a bit of warpstone glow would look amazing on that model. Keep the pictures coming.

Thanks! It came out a little too dark for my liking in the end but no time to redo it now. Maybe I'll steal it later to try again.
I like painting Skaven, and it is much quicker than elven models.
@ Rod, she definitely grows quickly, learning new things daily. What is the problem with Skaven? Buy an Island of Blood or two before it goes away (for ELves, obviously) and keep the Skaven models. They are fun.

Something to do with them being rats and not liking the look of them.
But that is indeed my plan. I've already got a single IOB set, which I split with a friend, so no rats from that. But I am planning on getting a second one and keeping the rats for myself. They look fun. And I just love the look of the Screaming bell / plague furnace model...

I only have the rat general from my IoB set (traded the rest) ... and I'm looking forward to painting him for kicks, once I get caught up on the other armies I have in the works.
Aicanor, love the paint job on the skaven! Especially the mask and globe!
