Made to order has arrived

#1 Post by Prince of Spires »

The made to order stuff has quietly dropped on the GW website. Princes, mages, and nobles... And of course the mounted Stormweaver. All in all 12 models in 4 sets

They have saved my wallet but only releasing models i already own (or don't want!) Seriously, the stormweaver on unicorn is about as appealing as a piece for the shelf as it is for the battlefield

Indeed, if it wasn't labeled as a high elf miniature I would have never guessed it to be part of the range.

What? You can't tell from the huge helmet? ;) It always feels like Elves feel the need to compensate for something... ;)

Overall, I like the MTO models. They're a nice adition. The Stormweaver is as expected, and it more feels like we got it and the mount because they found a usable mould somewhere in the back than because it actually fit HE or is a great model. Still bought one, just because I could. And I like classical miniatures :)

I had the same when I placed my order (just before posting here...). However, I've since received an email that my order is actually on the way and should get here in about a week's time... So you might get them this year still...

I truly like the noble with the Axe. But of these, I only own the shield and sword guy. I remodelled the minifigure to include the arm of the Dragon prince champion, so now has sword pointing upwards instead of downwards - a more powerful pose.

Ordered a few things today, didn't have the stormweaver and one of the heroes, kind of annoying that they're bundled tbh, will sell off the extras. Unless the MTO has done really badly I'm guessing they won't come for 6 months. A real shame they didn't bring back the maidenguard, I really thought they would.

Yeah, it's amazing how as I get older times seems to speed up. It used to be that half a year really felt like half a year...

Interestingly enough, the Made to Order models seem to have disappeared from the GW website again. At least on the Dutch site. No idea why, but it does make me happy I ordered them when I did. No telling when they'll show up again.
