RBT Volley

Thus far I have been playing the volley from the RBT as S4 with a total AS modifier of -2. But, it has come up on another fourm, and after thinking about it, now I am in doubt of my previous stance as well.

The wording is S4 with a -2 AS penalty. Does that mean total modifier on a model hit is -2 or -2 + -1 for being S4 for a total of -3?

The main reason for me believing it is the latter is the lack of the armor piercing rule which would sum this up much easier. If the RBT volley was in fact S4 with total modifier on AS of -2 then it would basically be armor piercing, but it almost seems like it is S4 plus a -2 modifier.

Any help on this would be appreciated, I don't know if this falls under a noob ? or is over-reading the rules. I looked for a FAQ/Erratta on this and found nothing.

As the above poster said, it's S4 with a -2 AS total. If the RBT had armour piercing rule then it would suffer more when targeted with the Rain Lord spell...
