September 4th/5th, Worcester, Saturday singles, Sunday is doubles.

Tickets are on sale, £12 for either day alone, £20 if playing both. ‘Smash of the Titans 2’ needs to be mentioned as a Note when doing the PayPal so they know it’s for this 8th Edition event. Said PayPal is:

wysiwygwarehouse@gmail.com

The pack is due later in the spring, I’ll post more details if I get them. From past events I might guess at 2500pts for the singles but it could be 2000 or indeed something else. I’ve just entered because Mark’s previous events have been good.

EDIT 21/3/21

Latest intel is that singles will be 3000pts, doubles 1500 x 2. Tickets selling out fast. Pack in April or May.

I’ve PM’d you about it SA but I think the messages may be stuck in outbox.

Does that mean we might be seeing a battle report sometime in the future?

Prince I hope so! The organisers haven't replied to my payment yet or an earlier email asking about place availability, either. Sooooo I've no idea what's happening. Fingers crossed.

SA tells me it's a 2999 point tournament which has me brainstorming already.

What's the best programme for posting pictures on forum threads, these days?

I just use Microsoft OneDrive, which lets me create image links I can share on the web. I bet Google drive and Dropbox offer the same option. SA uses imgur.com, which seems to be a very common choice for a lot of people. There's a few more around, but I think those are the main ones.

2999 pts is a nice amount. It should give you plenty of points to play around with. Do you know if the event is using 25% lords/heroes or if they use the End Times option of 50%?

Thanks Prince that's helpful. I used to use Photobucket but now it looks as if all my old pics have PHOTOBUCKET written all over them, so I'd probably need an alternative.

SA is the man in the know on this one - he told me about it. As far as he's aware, it's 3K points but with limits as if 2999, and a 25% lords allowance. There may be some shenanigans allowing us to choose units from other factions as rare choices. As an elitist High Elf I may find this difficult. If I succumb then surely dwarf cannons will fall for consideration!

It's actually 3000 points but no Grand Army rules and no End Times rules

Was considering going to this myself but don't think I can make that weekend work due to the wife's job

Specifically via the iOS app which I've found excellent. Currently 'free', though I don't know the extent to which I'm being tracked for this. They recently suggested I sign up for a voluntary £2/month subscription which I might go for, despite my wariness around subs.. This may have something to do with Apple's imminent 14.5 update which makes privacy choices much more visible.

I know what you mean dude. I've been forced to supplement my developing O&G army with Daemons thus far but I'll try to minimise this going forward. Any allied units I do take will dovetail thematically, despite the temptation to bring Kairos Fateweaver for points denial!

Like Donkey Kong!

Edit: the Saturday Singles has now sold out but some extra places might be made available at some point. Tickets still up for grabs for the Sunday Doubles. I’ll keep this thread updated.
