During black friday a local game store was selling the Dominion box set for $100 CAD...(1 per person)

So me and a friend got one each and swapped the halfs, and I have some stormcast now.

I had a list in mind, adding in my Celestant Prime I had for my DOK but can no longer use with them since alliances changed.

Selling off the stuff I didnt need and buying what I did, I think I sended up spending $200 for this whole army

This is a small part of what I have made so far




I 3d printed the heads and the stormcast Brigette

My idea is to make them "The Daughters of the Storm"

Basically the souls of Aelven warriors who died, betrayed my Morathi-Khaine (in the books she kills a lot of her own people often)

Sigmar claimed the souls and reforged them as stormcast

Printed these two the other day for an upcoming path to glory campain (arms and shields are spares from the Vindictor set)

also these gals fill out my 750pts

I dislike the stormcast models in general. But you're doing some very nice things with them. You got some great dynamic poses and lovely painting. I also like the bases. The white contrasts nicely with the gold of the models and gives them some much needed balance.

Can't wait to see what you'll do with the lions.

Cheers, This will be my 4th now...yikes lol. But I got this one cheap enough so it was alright. Actually been planning out a fun board for it which will be amusing.

Lions I just started painting as trying to get my path to glory stuff done for end of month. Ill have the 2 heroes, 2 Lions (Fulminators) and 5 Vindictors done by end of month and hopefully have started on the other 5 Vindictors.

Atm I only have access to a small range. They did a kickstarter I missed, so hopefully once the kickstarter has been fulfilled they will sell them separate

Yeah...this was printed in 7hrs and about $8 worth if resin

That's an awesome model. I don't think many people would be able to tell it's printed now, and even fewer when it's painted.

it's the reason I'm not investing in GW as a company. They've got some great intelectual property. But at some point the price difference will become too big to justify purchasing lots of models from them. Why pay $45 for a model on dragon or a squad of 5 soldiers when you can print them for a fraction of the cost, and you can print them to your exact specifications? I think we're already at the point where you can buy a printer and print a whole WH army of the same quality for the same price as buying the models from GW (including the printer).

Print time might be a factor, but on the other hand, turn it on and just come back 7 hours later. It's not like you have to hold the printer's hand the whole time.

tbh its a great purchase if you are into miniature hobbies of any type as you can print dungeon terrain to street scapes, and miniatues

The patreon i follow is https://www.patreon.com/ghamak/posts and for $13Cad (so like 8 pound) you can get his monthly releases, and there is at least $200 worth of mini scuplts which cost $2-$8 to print

With basic programs you can change the x y or z length of a mini (or auto scale it to change general size) or use a program like Blendr to fully create or alter a model

I have my printers at work, so I can set up a print in the morning/before I leave, and just leave it running. Zero electric cost to me also lol

Some touch ups left to do but calling them done for now

Found some more female heads from the same artist I got my other ones! So going to have some good variety soon

Played a 1k game yesterday vs OBR and won on turn 4. The Ydrasta ability to bring 1 model under 3w per unit wholly within 12 was really useful. By the time they spend resources to cut the Vindictors down (3+/6++ near obj) and then just bringing them back is great. Think I ressed a whole units worth over the game

Army is coming along. I just need to finish Ydrastas base and I am working on 10 More Vindictors

The base model vibe reminds me a little of Blood Angels, which I quite like.

You should add them to the list. Even if only for just a game It would look epic.

Did as new Lord Relictor using the actual model as i kinda love it (plus fully in amour so can still be female)
