Ooo Macarons of doom lol

I picked up some additional basing stuff as I wanted something to off set the blue a little, so I got some pink flowers. Will post some pics when they are attached.

I used a Creality CR-10s Pro V2 to print this.

An Ender 3 would print it just the same, just mines broken and I gave up and got the bigger printer

CR10 is great for cosplay and scenery, and can print miniatures, but really for minis you want a resin printer like the Anycubic Mono (might get one on black friday sales)

He looks great indeed. And I like the adition of the second color of flowers. They're still psychedelic, but it helps break up the larger base.

I'd love to see more of your printing experiments. I think 3D printers are getting to the point where they can start competing with miniature manufacturers, both in terms of quality and on price. 3 large GW miniatures also buys you a printer. Which then becomes a great value proposition if you need a whole army and it will mean that miniature companies really have to start showing their added value to players.

No games for the last two weeks as I have been finishing these bad boyz!

After all the no painting moans lol. I decided to run them for a one day event coming this saturday (as attack x was cancelled so no wanting to use my DOK for a small event)

So here is my current 2k Gloomspite Gitz Army. Squignos is Bundo Whalebiter (megagargant) for this list as Kragnos not worth it

They look awesome! I love the bright, psychedelic colors. That's a wall of madness allright. Do you use a lot of washes and glazen when painting or is it mainly "just" paint?

thanks! looking forward to playin them tomorrow and getting some pics of them in game. Gonna be on SagaofDice channel soon also with them

Mostly Wraithbone base spray then contrast paints

I use normal paints to drybrush and highlight after using some oils like earthshade

So did my 1 day event. Went 1-2.

I came 2nd (coolest looking) army which was run. missed 1st by 1pt.

I outplayed all of my opponents but Gitz just dont have anything in the tank. No shinnaigans, no oompf. just generic damage and thats it. Will do more of a report but I rolled ZERO summon units in 3 games...and ZERO roars.

Man my rolls were bad lol.

Only got fungoing CP once.

Bane of game 1 was Phoenix guard. Hit with Trolls/Bundo and Troggboss and just bounced.

Game 2 was Gotrek. Avoided him but turn 3+ he got me. Also Played Veins of Ghur and 2 obj deployed his side of the table pretty much with Gotrek between me and them.

Main thoughts other than Gitz need a new book:

1: Rockgut Troggoths are meh. only attacks hurt when you cant buff 3's to wound
2: Troggboss is NOT WORTH 250pts
3: Bundo isnt that good. Without being a chunk of bodies like in Sons lists he is just a giant taget with a 4+ save. Maybe if you went all in on buffing him you would still be average.

Oh well. Hopefully new book 2022/2023

I can definitely see that army winning the coolest looking title.

A shame about the strength of the army (or rather the lack of it). It sounds like they are as dice / luck dependent as the old goblins. Which can be great fun, but it probably doesn't make for the most competitive list.

I think they've got a lot of potential for fun and crazy rules stuff, but that would mean GW ge their act together and gives them a good book. Let's wait and see. At lesat it seems like you did succeed in your aim of building a fun list to use against beginners / non-competitive gamers.

Also, do give us a link to the SagaofDice episode once you've been on. Should be fun to watch.

Wow, that looks amazing! The display board is as wonderful as the models are! I agree on the pointy tower being excelent, but the rest is great as well. How did you make the board?

The models are just epic. You've really captured the psychidelic madness of the Squigs.

Cheers guys

Board and houses were all 3d printed from the hagglethorn hollow range and then my gf went to town painting them and putting on tufts and stuff. She finds it relaxing lol

We are gonna out some on etsy when we are back from vacation (28th-5th so why I've been quiet on here as aos break)

Yeah I wanted them to look very colorful and mixed, like you are being attacked by a bag of skittles lol

They're definitely a very agressive bag of skittles coming at you :) I love it.

The hagglethorn hollow range looks great. You just sent me down a rabbit hole looking at printable terrain. I really should get myself a 3D printer ;) I do think it's where the hobby is headed. The price per model drops drastically while there's a lot more room for variety compared to just using the same 10 sets offered by GW. There's some great pieces in there which would look amazing in a Mordheim game.

Yeah they are deffinatley worth it. I have a plastic (PLA) Printer that does Pteg and ABS (CR-10s Pro V2) and its great for terrain.

I am going to try and get a Anycubic Mono x on black friday as its a great Resin printer for minis

A 7k gitz battle would be epic. You should find someone who wants to be eaten by your angry horde of skittles. And remember to take pictures for us ;)

3d printed some alt models for my loonboss on Squig and Sneaky Snufflers

Image

Image

So list i am using is:

- Army Faction: Gloomspite Gitz
- Grand Strategy: Hold the Line
- Triumph: Inspired
LEADERS
Kragnos (720)*
Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig (110)*
- General
- Command Traits: Master of Magic
- Moonclan Stabba
- Artefacts of Power: Arcane Tome
- Spells: The Hand of Gork
Madcap Shamans (80)*
- Spells: Squig Lure
BATTLELINE
Squig Herd (320)*
Squig Herd (320)*
Squig Herd (160)*
OTHER
Marshcrawla Sloggoth (150)*
Sneaky Snufflers (75)*
ENDLESS SPELLS & INVOCATIONS
1 x Emerald Lifeswarm (60)
TERRAIN
1 x Bad Moon Loonshrine (0)
CORE BATTALIONS
- *Battle Regiment
TOTAL POINTS: 1995/2000

Squigs swarm objectives as they are a pain to shift at 2w each

With Sneaky snufflers and Troggoth buff those squigs are now 3x 3+/3+ -1 1 and can attack in 2 close ranks, which is a lot of attacks.

Troggoth makes all Kragnosses attacks 2+ also

Shaman makes the squigs run and charge with a spell and Loonboss gives a teleport for the sneaky snufflers can keep in range of the squigs to buff them

It has play, I just need to make sure I play the objs

Got a final game in at the weekend, ended with a 26vs17 win to gitz (he was using Cities of Sigmar: Hallowheart)

Only really got a pic at the start:

So event is on this weekend, hopefully will just have a lot of fun playing the gitz. Not fussed how well I do as long as its a good time and then its back to the Daughters of Khaine (working on a new project....)

Yeah it was a good time, had a good laugh in a beer garden Sat evening (Was only there Sat and Sun as its a short drive from Vancouver)

Kragnos is ballar. I think he died once? and that was when he took qa lot from Khrondys when he died (roll a wound for each wound on the models profile and on a 6 take a mortal wound, but also had a trait that made it a 5+)
