Summoning and points?

#1 Post by Duranthalis »

I'm trying to figure out how summoning works towards points/warscroll/wounds limit (or whatever people use these days). I've read a lot of rules that basically set aside a pool for summoning that counts towards your total points limit. That makes sense, it would be like having troops in reserve.

More specifically, how are people handling Alarielle's summoning ability? It's random what you get, so how would you account for that in a reserve situation? In the hero phase, you can fire off her Soul Amphorae and have the potential for randomly summoned creatures. Not only is the unit type random, the amount you summon is random (2-12 dryads, 1-6 revenants, or a treelord).

This particular ability feels wonky.
