High Elf novels

#1 Post by Olthannon »

Hey all,

Recently started reading the war of vengeance omnibus, so far so good. What other reasonable books are out there about the Asur? I've seen a few from BL but I don't really trust Gav Thorpe to pick his nose let alone write a novel.

Is the Tyrion and Teclis omnibus any good?

We've had a couple of discussions on this a (long) while ago. See

Blood of Aenarion - Save your money and your mind - spoilers

The general conclusion was that the Tyrion and Teclis novels and the Defenders of Ulthuan novels are not very good. Read them if you want to get more info about Ulthuan. But not for the quality of the writing. Note, I've only read the defenders series and not Tyrion and Teclis. So for the second one I'm just going by what I've read from others.

If you want quality writing about HE, then I would recommend searching for the stories written by a forum member called Headshot in our Storytelling subforum. They're great stories.
