Very beautifully painted, as usual, but I've never managed to like the models, apart perhaps the handmaiden.
The others to me are ugly sculpts, including Alarielle.

I hope COVID has not hit you bad and that you are recovering without long term effects.

Thanks guys. So far it looked like a soft infection. i didnt have any kind of simptoms (sp?) from 3rd day on. Tomorrow restart work again after 8 days isolated, so painting will slow down consequently :P.

Models are god awful (except the new handmaiden which is gorgeous, pity of finecast). Its taken me a really long time to complete this unit and until now i couldnt gather the will to do it. Plan was to paint it during this month, but covid just hastened it to an amazing degree.

Im painting now a unit of 3rd edition skeletons for the rest of the month and after that i have to go back to elves to paint something. Will take pictures of all when the jobs more advanced.

Thanks again for the concerns!

EDIT: the small stallion is actually a unicorn!

It looks great! Love the look of the unit. I actually like the look of the handmaidens. Yes, they're very much a model of the 80's or 90's, but they look very elven. And you've made a very lovely unit out of them. And the unicorn and everqueen are a great adition

Hey guys turns out, eventhough i went through a very soft corona, that i got a noticeable hit to my physical condition to the point where i cant do my job properly. Basically i when i do some effort i feel like i had done a serious training session at the gym. Even with both vaccine doses and having gone through an apparently weak sickness i got owned.

So basically what im saying is be careful guys. Dont take it lightly because its a fricking lottery and it can leave you fucked up. As of me i feel almost perfectly normal, is just when i try to do something intense that i get drained off completely. All i can do now is to hope i can be myself soon, we shall see. Take care guys this is no joke!

Had very mild Corona a few weeks ago. And it is indeed different from a flu in that the recovery period is a lot longer. Even when the symptoms have disappeared, it takes a lot longer than a flu to get back to 100%. A friend of mine who had it needed 5 weeks to get completely up and running again.

Take it slow and listen to your body...

Really nice!
Both the quality of the painting and the miniatures, you don't need the models to be "modern" for them to look good.
There are plenty of vintage ones that are not just characterful, but definitely great.

I painted the BSB plus Krell. I had problems with Krell as it is a chinese copy off a finecast model and well, between failcast and recasting you can imagine the quality wasnt gonna be the best.

Of course. To be fair, you'd have to be fairly silly not to put scythes on your chariot. I mean, who wouldn't, right?

I dont get the joke but ok heh.. More minis!

Started with the wights, i hope i can have the 20 models painted by the end of next month. Im feeling pretty good now and i think i can start working this monday and will not have to drop again so painting will slow down considerably.

They're still going to look very striking, especially as a unit I feel.

Yeah, the models are looking great. As a unit they are way above "tabletop standard". Might not be your best work, but they're still very nicely done :)

Hey guys thanks. Im on my most prolific painting streak ever: I've painted 200 hours now in just 3 months. Just finished another character. Pictures are too dark eventhough de model is right under the light bulb. Its a real problem to make pictures here in the North!

I also painted a lot of 40k scenery in january that i realize now i never posted about, nothing too fancy but here it is:

They look great. The undead giant is definitely my favorite of the bunch. The characters are lovely as always. The terrain feels a bit too clean somehow. I would expect a bit more rust or grime on there.

Thanks! i didnt have much confident in the giant but apparently is being a success!. Im still going to apply a last light on the greenish robes, its not varnished yet as i need the spray can which happens to be 2200Kms away ^^.

The scenery is ultra-mega speedy painted. Was 40 hours for all those items shown. I think the pictures dont do them full justice anyway, but definitely cant expect many wonders there ).

So i finished the fallen paladins unit. Now its 5 of em. Got to paint their hero and then a skirmishing unit of skeletons + wargs. These are the undead i brought to Netherlands with me, Also have a couple more elf models which will paint this month also after the undead are done and then for next month ive brought the castle from the FW chaos mammoth (its made in china.. Could never justify +1k€ in a miniature). And after that i fear im gonna have to start painting...40k... :|
