Going to be starting them also as a 2nd army

Will use my giant lion and an alt model for teclis

Spearmen will have white lions shoulders and changing the helm angle to be more spartan

archers will have same shoulders

Throw in some dok heads also

Cavelry will be my old lion princes with the new riders

Giant Cow thing with have lion heads

i also ordered my box on saturday... lets pray to the elven gods i get it this week!

To be honest with you, in my opinion ALL of the models need a lot of work and sculpting, but in my head there´s already an epic army growing, if i get all the bitz i need.
Lucky me, 2000 points isnt that many models, as i will include Teclis (yes, but not this version, i´ll put the old Teclis on a dragon) and with some of the normal troops pimped as i wish, it will be a cool project. I will just have to sit my ass on the chair and PAINT but since 2020 means homeoffice for me until now, i have 2hours a day that i normally travel to and from work! ;)
(i painted more this year till the end of may than the whole last year!)

The antilope cat is sort of salvageable through head replacement.

But dear god what have the HE become in AoS.

sadly this is what i think, too...
my only hope is, they make the Lumineth THAT crazy, to have a bigger difference when they release the old world game, but when i rethink that, this is pretty naive. :(

I don't really feel the archeroos, but the Lord Regent looks nice!
cheers, Lee

Totally agree with you. The mount of the Lord Regent has a stag-feel that looks great. And his helmet is kinda nice too actually.

The archeroos are weird. I don't have too much trouble staying away from them.

It does seem that GW has chosen some strange animal theme for elves. After flying sharks and turtles, giant cow with pringles cans we now get kangaroos...

I also saw an image of the new vampire. That one isn't very good either in my opinion. It just looks very uninspired and boring.

The female vampire is a much better model than the weird bat hair one.

The archerroos??? Why?

If you replace the head the macepire is a nice model. Oh and apparently both are female unless I misunderstood something.

I think it's really hit or miss, for the full range. I do like the horse-elves that came out a few months ago, and I do like some of the personalities in the direchasm box.

I like the spearelves too, but I don't need more of them.

You made me go to Bell of Lost Souls to see these, you buggers.

Honestly? Following the the absolute lunacy of ET and AoS, and having stepped back for a few years (plus the last few months) these hurakan thingies don't really shock me, or even bother me too much. They don't look very warhammer, true. In fact they look more sci-fi, Star Wars in particular - like a cross between tauntauns and kaadus. (With musk deer faces) Worst thing is they seem a bit bottom-heavy. They give me a laugh, at least.

I could see me taking off the riders as some not-Ellyrian Reavers. I've got some horses lying idle.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but for what it is, I really like that cat-cow mount-thingy they have for one of the new character/commander minis. With a bit of converting and grafting, it might even fit an idea I had for my old world elves...

Yes I would agree with that to certain extent. The old lore of the high elves mentioned the myriad fantastical beasts in the Annullii mountains and it would have been cooler to see some of those creatures being used as mounts. Although I suppose they did that with the various dark elf beastmasters..

I'd be buggered if I'd ever dare transport that model of the twins though, it looks like it'll explode in a second!

Those are actually really nice. I wouldn't mind having those models in my collection. Though, I do agree that that first model would be a nightmare to keep in one piece...

I like the lady, though the style is clearly different from the she-elves I'm familiar with.
