I am assembling my asurs using the rules from Warhammer Armies Project.
But were can I post questions about it?

My advice would be to start a thread in the Warhammer 8th editon forum. It functions as a bit of a catch-all for Warhammer content for example there are threads about 6th edition there.

I've never looked much into WAP and 9th Edition, maybe I should.
From what I can see it seems very close to 8th Edition in term of rules - but how much, can anyone tell?
Also, how widely played is it?
Who writes the new army books?

It is getting closer and closer to trying it. It is a bit hard to find hard since the choice of stuff is just huge!
The amount of magic items to choose from is stagering

It's a solid ruleset, well thought out, 8th without the disadvantages. I like most rules choices, magic is meaningful but not overwhelming, combat a bit more detailed as vanilla Warhammer, and shooting is actually a thing.

Plays well, although battles tend to take a bit longer to play.
