The Endtime Story Competition - Sound the fanfares!

#1 Post by Aicanor »

I hope you enjoyed the competition, and now, please give a vote to your favourite stories!

Voting will be open for two weeks (ending on 26th). Every voter will be able to vote for any number of the stories s/he enjoyed.

Winner will get a title of Ultimate End Times Chronicler. Nice thematic banner to put into your signature and of course, fame amongst the Asur and beyond. We reserve the right to give out more titles if situation warrants it. (Loremasters decreed no change to name colour, especially not fuchsia. Sorry, Headshot.)

Re: The Endtime Story Competition - FANFARES

#6 Post by Aicanor »

Well, I dreamt about fighting side by side with Malekith yesterday and today I had a dream conversation with Teclis. I guess it is a hint this is long overdue. Sorry for the delay, but… life. :)

So here it is, sound the fanfares!

Congratulations to Headshot for a well deserved win. He let us feel the loss of Ulthuan in full. How are we to survive without a Shadow Prince to save the day I do not know.
There will be a title as soon as Spires gets around to it! I know, Spires… :D

And here is a little preview of the artwork in progress.

Haagrum has left his lone Sister of Slaughter trying to find new life in Athel Loren. Great story and well deserved second place! Now… a sequel? Please?

Makiwara
at the third place danced through the cataclysm in most characteristic way. May Loec reward him with interesting times ahead.

The rest of the stories was quite enjoyable read as well. Thanks to all participants for a good time spent reading. We’ll see if I can arrange some little thing to mark your efforts.

Karalael Moonsinger had buried his namesake in a pile of dead Druchii, Larose added a double twist to his already tangled storyline, NCEITFOA’s story was perhaps most interesting take on the End Times story. Davariel truly got to the End, leaving a sole Elf survivor, but the final ending was left quite open… and then Aicanor came in saving some books and so as Ulthuan teared and drowned around her.

For my part, a big thank you to all participants. There are some great stories in there. I enjoyed all the lovely reading. Now, get writing those sequels ;)

Also, a thank you to Aicanor for organizing the story competition. It was a great idea and the execution was lovely. Let's do it again sometime. :)
