There are no restrictions. You can even, if you wish, cast one spell from one wizard then from another then back to the first!

Fair enough, I took you too literally: just because a HDMI transfers digital signals doesn't mean it either works or doesn't, but either working or not working is literally digital.

It makes sense now, continue!

I think that was a joke. Computers are digital, modern televisions are digital, phones are digital: they either work or they don't.

True to an extent.

Re: Anathir's Host of Averlorn - Another update (smaster)..

I like the model a lot. Technically it is absolutely solid. I'd want a slightly smoother white personally, but thats a minor detail, especially as you already painted over bronze. I think a unit of these guys would look very good, a solid 3-4 really. And don't dare throw away the bases, they are gre...

Re: How do I make these guys look better

If you aren't already, water your paints down - it's crucial! Secondly, I'd just give them a wash: devlan mud all over or try colour matching if you want. After that you can decide if you want to go over the raised areas with the original colour again to brighten it up. This is how I paint most RaF,...

And surely if they don't care, they wouldn't sanction Britain anyway. It's a weak argument for Argentina it seems.

Ok, in that case they do benefit; as I said, I was just guessing. However, can't the other members of the UN pressure the UK too (with more influence than Argentina has) if they were actually on Argentina's side (are they?)?

Re: My Version of the 8th Ed. High Elves Army Book

I'd make the costs as a percentage of the army, makes more sense to scale correctly. Have you considered creating unit and army layout effects? Things like: only Caledor armies can take star dragons, only Tiranoc armies can duplicate chariots, Nagarythe armies get one unit of shadow warriors in core...

If they put 12 ml on the bottle, it must contain 12 ml to within a, probably small, accuracy. I'd only be concerned that there kit still be some paint left in the pot; it can be quite thick. Have you tried adding a measured quantity of water to slosh the last of it out then measuring against the ove...

Interesting discussion all round. On margins vs. customers, wargaming is a complex market to say the least. While the simple way of looking at customers lost against money gained might work for something relatively simple, wargaming thrives on community. When a new player walks into a store they buy...

Re: Warmachine by Privateer Press

Its much cheaper than Warhammer. From what I understand on a per model basis Privateer press is on par with, or slightly pricier than GW - something its fans tend to gloss over. However, while GW asks for up to several hundred models for a standard game, PP needs around 10-20, so overall is ...

It's a tough one, absolutely. As easy as it might be to say: "The islanders wish to be British, let them have their way." this is inaccurate. If Argentina were to send a few tens of thousands of their people to something like Orkney and gain a majority population they couldn't just say it'...

Of course you'd think that, you were prosecution! But they did do well with their defence. I'm pleased with how the poll is looking though; if we can get a 6 overall I'd be very pleased, and we're close! I voted a 6, obviously I argued as if be were a 2, but I felt 6 was fair. But in the time of a massive chaos incursion which would you rather have, a legendary warrior or a terrific statesman. A warrior is a bonus, but a wise leader is more important: see Caledor II and many real world examples (I'm no history expert; I won't try to name names). While an ideal Phoenix Ki...

Re: The Phoenix Kings Balloon Debate - Check Your Team

I had a thought today: Since it will be difficult for the prosecution to get, for example, Aenarion much lower than six or seven, while Caledor II is unlikely to get above four or five I thought that the spectators could give a vote before, and then after, the debate to see the difference our argume...

Well, I will admit to being slightly sad and and spending an hour last night writing a small essay on Aenarion's flaws. Re: How to deal with chaos warrior hordes?

4+ ward is unusual unless it was a very cheesy (and stupidly expensive) chosenstar. Normally it should be slightly more manageable. It is still a rock hard unit, so I'd still suggest avoidance as dabber says. You might be able to engage it with enough magic to whittle it down and then several units ...

Re: Who Led High Elf Armies Besides the Nobles and Mages?

As far as the fluff I know says, princes and nobles normally lead, with mages leading in unusual cases. That is, however, leading an army. I imagine a smaller group or hunting group would be lead by whoever was regarded as having the highest rank within the group - be it swordmaster champion, shadow...

Re: "Who is gonna win between...." [need help]

Both units are equally matched, as both kill the same number of enemy models; hence they tie or draw. You may want to call this a costly win for the most numerous side, as presumably they will have some models standing at the end. Without any idea about the Total War rules, I would suggest as a &quo...

The big question is, does he have a Slann? If he doesn't you will have magical superiority combined with better long ranged firepower. I would recommend holding back in this case and letting your bows and magic missiles do the work. When he gets close PG and WL should be able to charge and dispatch ...

While the benefit of HC is constant, it has a greater static increase in wounds for larger numbers of hits. For example, 100 hits wounding on 3s will deal 66.66... wounds without and 77.77... with HC. This is a 16.66...% increase - indeed any number of hits with any to wound value will receive this ...

Re: Math-Hammer question

Mathhammer is often surprisingly simple. In this case HC does confuse things a little. The swordmasters have command (sacred incense) and I assume the lions do to. This gives 25 attacks for the swordmasters. 2/3 hit and then 1/3 of the 1/3 misses (equal to 8/9) hit on the reroll. Therefore 22.222......
