I think you list is ok. But why give you main combat monster a ranged bolt thrower. Seems kinda redundent as you want to get him into combat asap. I find that magic is getting more dangerous nowdays. Too many armys have a spell that can desimate whole units in 1 shot and if you get a misscast (which happens when you run magic heavy or against the ring of hotek which in touraments you will face) then you will have a hell of a head ache. Archers and the dragon horn. Let the enemy charge the archers and flee. Best way to deal with big units of Plague bearers? I just Just avoid them.

They are slow movement 4 models. Just concentrate on taking down the rest of his army with your dragons and then when everything else has been killed you can throw your whole force to nail those damn plague bearers.

Remember seeing Asterion's army last year at D.W.A.R.F winter war. Won best painted as it truely looks fantastic.
