Re: Introduction topic
Welcome! Looks like you don't live too far away from me, so maybe sometime when this is all over (whenever that is! :? ) we'll be able to get a game in. Yes I got the importance of steadfast and of the risk of grinding combats for elite troops like the elves, however if the elf player mostly clears ...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/05/11/old-world-update-bearsgw-homepage-post-4/ The latest update - Kislev bears. Of course the concept sketches indicate something much bigger (and more expensive, I'm sure...) than the old models. Which just makes me think how perfect these would have been...

Now you mention it, the beard is a bit odd! Also his arms - looks like he’s trying to put his hands up, but his left arm is too lazy, so he has to use a ‘fing-longer’ type device.

Re: 8th 3000 HE vs Woc or O&G
Any tips/tweaks? Depends how cruel you want to be to him. :P In general it looks good, and I like some of the synergies. Magic could be optimised though. Two level 4s is usually a bit of a waste because you'll struggle to have enough power dice to cast all those spells. Maybe you could drop the arc...

Re: Painting again
In general I’m not a huge fan of really old models (heresy, I know!), but the heavily armoured horses are pretty cool. Will be good to see the Warmaster army expand. I think one of the disappointments of Warhammer is that the size of the armies makes it seem more like a skirmish than a proper battle...

Love the classic trees. I’ve got a few of the same type and they’re just about the only terrain I ever had! The mad terrain GW comes out with these days is certainly technically impressive, but you can’t beat a simple set of trees.
The models are great as well, of course!

I like the red and white archers. Such a simple way to give the unit a bit of variety - especially important for clone archers!

That's a really nice combination of colours. I like the limited use of red - enough to catch the eye, but not enough to clash with the green.

Perhaps making the yellow of the plume a bit lighter would make it stand out from the gold more and also draw attention to the head. Looks good anyway, though.

I can understand that too. And I suppose if you ever use one of your other armies as allies, all of the models will be united by crimson and beige!

Re: Open Day new Teclis and new Elves teaser
As for the hammerer models, the headpieces are just wrong. Both from an aesthetics point of view (for me) but also from a practical point of view. They look very top heavy. Which would make them utterly useless in any sort of fight where you had to move fast. You'd just fall over if you leaned too ...

Re: RE.Lee's "Record of Lost Colonies"
Love all the bits and bobs on the rat swarm bases, and Eltharion the Blind is a fantastic model. It just struck me that most of your armies have fairly similar colour schemes. Any particular reason for that? Personally I think I'd want to go for something completely different, so it would be interes...

I quite like Phoenix Guards in low points lists (or in any list, really...). If you only have one combat unit, you don't want it to die. And the Loremaster is a very nice complement to them.
