Those ambushing glade riders were really exposed. I was unlikely to kill a bolt thrower and six wounds is easy for you to inflict back. I wonder if it would have been better to ambush more units, ambush a different unit (Hagbane has a better chance against the bolt throwers) or even come on the boar...

After only advancing one unit of wild riders in turn 1, there little I could do here, as Orion was too far away to charge. The rule in 9th that you can still cast after broken concentration is really helpful - if only we'd remembered.

You're right that the reavers often won't be able to use the BSB's rerolls, but I'd still go without a musician. They'll make ld8 most of the time and you could do with as many models as possible at this points level.

A scroll mage would of course be great, perhaps even that one on the steed with High and the ring. I don't really have the points though, although if I was playing at 2500 I could probably drop the Razor Standard and squeeze him in. You can shave a few points off your core to squeeze in the lions. A musician on the reavers is superfluous, as all it does is add +1Ld when rallying, which shouldn't be necessary if you have a BSB. All GW need to do now is add one simple rule:

"If either player finishes the jigsaw before the end of the game, they instantly win."

Although perhaps this rule is not silly enough for GW. Maybe add another clause that you have to wear a Sigmarine costume at the same time.
