You may drop the eagle for that, I field my Sisters without the High Sister, and smalll units of SH's go without command as well.

True in general. Warhammer Renaissance is a simpler version and has that less.

Re: Warhammer Armies Project: a search for experience.
Some more info: I field PG's in blocks, I have 20, want to go to 25. Swordmasters 10 of 15 SH 5 or 10, tried DP's also in 10. You lse a few attacks, but they have some staying power. I seldom use reavers, if I do in 5's. SW: 5's. I tend to give them double weapons. Sisters 10. I like the WL models, ...

Re: Warhammer Armies Project: a search for experience.
Seaguards I field usually 25 (or slightly smaller if I plan characters in there). As it is prohibited to have a deeper unit that its breadth, ideal are numbers as 25, 36, 49 (5x5, 6x6, 7x7). Seaguards fight in three ranks, so between 20 (4x5) and 25 (5x5) are best I think. I usually form two ranks d...

Warhammer Armies Project: a search for experience.
Hi all, I have been trying out WAP the last year/months, and at my Amsterdam club and around there are several players who play WAP regularly of ar trying it out. For most, the experienze is rewarding or at least sparking interest for more. In our experience, the learning curve of WAP is relatively ...

Re: Making a Cothique elite infantry unit - which should they count as?
In 3rd Ed. 'Ship's Companies' could have (long) bow and a two handed weapon. And 'Merchant's Companies' (closest to seaguards) could have bows and halberds (or better said: they were organized like the DE City Guard and had half halberds or spears and the other half bows.) And if you look further on...

Probably the 3+ Ward Phoenix Guard one. Where do you get the 3+ Ward save? PG's have 4+ one, and savens cannot stack further than4+. p. 47: "However, no model may have a Ward save better than 4+ by combining multiple Ward saves regardless of source; single Ward saves with a better value than 4...

Sisters of Avelorn are really a great unit.
Just found out about the GW's. I was not amused.
ik haven't played with spearelves yet in this edition. I always go for Seaguards.

I'm also interested in the warriors. I've just checked if I can make good unit of hand weapon and shiedl-ish models. (Yes). Thery are so much cheaper, especially sice you need at least 25-36 spears to really make good use of all their advantages.

Re: Warhammer Armies Project
How are you finding it Aerendar? It's a solid ruleset, well thought out, 8th without the disadvantages. I like most rules choices, magic is meaningful but not overwhelming, combat a bit more detailed as vanilla Warhammer, and shooting is actually a thing. Plays well, although battles tend to take a...

Re: Is there a summary of how I can play HE in AoS 3.0?
I'm planning to play Lumineth with my SH, Spears and Bows. AoS is played at our club and I'd like to try the game.
We're playing Warhammer Renaissance now, and we're off trying WAP 9th ed. so it'll probably remain with a one-off.

I think it's really hit or miss, for the full range. I do like the horse-elves that came out a few months ago, and I do like some of the personalities in the direchasm box.
I like the spearelves too, but I don't need more of them.

Love the lion riders. I'm slowly wrapping my mind around some of the models, especially the Lumineth cavalry. Thnks for sharing.
Love the misplaced Bloodbowl player. That's some blocking there!

I like that every models has different colour for their helmet.
What do you plan to do with the base ?
Probably dark brown with spring grass and tufts.
The models really beg for varied painting.
