Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)

Greetings fellow Asur, what a year 2020 was and what 2021 continues to be. My house was flooded on christmas eve and after a month we've finally managed to find some temporary accommodation. Thankfully managed to get our possessions upstairs at the time but we are currently dealing with an incredibl...

Hey, great to see a new blog on here! I love that forest Green you have, it's a great colour scheme. Your faces look really well done too.

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

I actually like the idea of perhaps chaos being more of cultists at the heart of the empire rather than a threat from the northern wastes.

Perhaps they'll be updating the lore slightly to fit with the new outposts we have situated in the old world.

The female vampire is a much better model than the weird bat hair one.

The archerroos??? Why?

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

It's nice to see a hint of Asur in there (and is that Ulthuan on the edge of the map?). I was about to say yes, but actually I think that might be the corner of Albion, now that would be something.. I think they might test the waters with a box game to see how it does, but GW know they have a marke...

Hey I saw you post this up on Reddit earlier, great work! I love that pinkish hue to the stone, gives it that faintly ethereal quality and matches with your army colour scheme nicely!

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

Yep, 100% it's the right move setting it further in the past. Gives them a huge scope, plus if the empire is at war with itself then you don't need as many model ranges to start with because multiple armies can be empire. I suspect our dear expeditionary armies will be limited at the start, but I'm ...

I still think they look great, I agree with your second issue as I have often had that problem, I need to work out in advance the areas I want to shade. The bone colour goes great with red though, reminds me I really need to start painting my archers!

Looks great! I've always wanted to pick up some of the later edition models that I missed while I was out of the hobby. I actually really like the dragon and phoenix models.

Love your paint scheme so far, can't wait to see more.

Hey welcome! Your army sounds awesome, can't wait to see your stuff! I think the thing that bugs me the most is that they don't sell the old range anymore. Like they could have still gone find no more old world, I'd be a bit miffed but I would at least be able to buy some new in box models. It means...

Yeah unfortunately lotr is 28mm but Fantasy is/was 28mm heroic which makes everything just a bit larger and they don't quite match up.

Nice! That should look incredible when it's done. I briefly toyed with that idea myself when I started repainting my army but it just seemed a little daunting. Good luck!

Great to see a full army shot (reminds me I need to do the same on the future).

Although it would be a total pain you could delve further into the marine scheme and change the bases to more of a sea theme?

I think they look great! Really like your scale armour and the white plate. The swords look excellent too and to me I think your balance of red and black is spot on. I'd consider something of more contrast for the helmet plumes just to break the model up a touch.

Out of interest, do you guys think the WL would look better with the yellow plume that I have used with the swordmasters which would be a lot brighter as opposed to the current red?
