cool. Sounds very logical. It does make me wonder however, how do you bake it without melting the plastic? Does it bake at a low temperature or do you sculpt, remove the plastic bits, bake it and stick them back on?

Re: Question about dragon mage
This was FAQ'd & EERATA'd in 7th, GW assumes everyone has the previous PDF's, when they overwrite them with the newer editions. :| . It was? can't remember seeing that. Not that it realy matters, as a 7th ed FAQ doesn't realy have any validity in 8th. @Kourosh84: As you can see, opinions...

Re: The PG/WL Crutch
I think the question should not be what do you take, but why do you take it? What are you trying to accomplish? The why of big block of WL or PG is pretty clear. If you want to take big blocks they are the units of choice. They are survivable, unlikely to run, have nice special rules and hit (very) ...

It looks great, altough I must say I had my doupts when it was still 'rainbow' coloured... But undercoated it looks amazing.
What is the orange stuff you use to create the model? And why this and not just all greenstuff (and vise versa, why still use green stuff for the smaller parts)?

Re: World Dragon Banner and Lore Attributes
Not sure I agree here. You can argue that it is similar to the effect of the engine of the gods, which is discussed in this tread: tread . A lore atribute is a magical effect that takes place in the magic phase. It is not a spell. So why does one work and the other not? In my opinion it is either th...

Re: Question about dragon mage
This depends on who you ask and it is still open to debate. The way this rule is worded allows 2 interpretations. 1. He can exchange a spell for either the flaming sword of ruin or for the signature spell (fireball) (but he can not exchange 2 spells, he can only choose one of the options) 2. He can ...

Re: A treatise on Force Concentration
The spearmen are great for that price though, for 9 points you get an additional rank of fighting, yeah they may sound expensive but 9 points per model for a unit that always strikes first and gets a reroll to hit against nearly everyone? Thats a great unit. By comparison many complain about the da...

Re: Different sized mounted character vs. flank shot
You hit the character on the end of the unit. There is only 1 model on the flank, so that is what you hit. And, in this case, no Look out Sir as they are of a different troop type.

Re: A treatise on Force Concentration
The problem is not so much t3 vs t4 or armour etc, but also the points cost. our spearmen are 9 points each, LSG are 13. for a decent sized unit you pay big amounts of points. And they are still only t3 with a 5+ armour save. And with step up they still die fast. Example. They 'great' HE tarpit ment...

Re: Seas of Blood - Naval game attempt
It sounds like a fun idea. I do have a few remarks. The thing with the tasks sounds a bit complicated. I would personally go for: each point of C gives you the ability to do C things. So if you have 5 C you can fire 5 times, fire 3 times and reload 2 times, move and fire 4 etc. Keeps things simple. ...

The Archers were next to useless. They were only ever able to kill Skinks, simply because 10 archers over half range, against T4 means avg. 5 hits, 2 wounds, and 1 save, compared with the 31 Seaguard over half range, moving, against T4, meaning avg. 10 hits, 6 wounds, and 3 saves. of course, for th...

Re: Dragon Mages in 8th?
Worth noting that the Dragon Mage can't take Fireball as his army book rule about what spell he can defaults to (Flaming Sword) means he can't snag Fireball. Which is too bad, because Fireball is a good lead-in for other firery doom and Flaming Sword is now more of a unit-friendly augment and less ...

Thanks for the reply. I know canons a a menace for the dragon. Luckily, my regular opponent doesn't have them (or an army that has cannons for that matter). Question, where did you get your cork sheet to make the bases?

The problem is not just what unit we can make that can beat this unit, but also how do you get that unit in a fight with the deathstar unit. After all, I don't think there are many people who would charge even that unit unsupported into a SM or WL horde. As for units, all of our elites should be ok,...

You're welcome to borrow it :) Glad to be able to help. As for why the rest of the army is there, good question. You could also go to the other extreme. Instead of not wanting to die they realy want to die, but they are not sure about the when or where. There was some 'static' on the line when they got their view of their dead and thus they only know that they will die, but they are unsure about the location. ...

First off, I'm not looking for the most competative list out there. Just a fun list. I was wondering what you guys think and if you have any suggestions. Personally I think that using the radiant gem just to get a 5+ ward safe on the prince and his pet are a waste of points. 45 points will get you enough gear to protect the prince and it will always work, even if you roll low on the winds of magic. Thus using a radiant gem prince just for shield of s...

I made the statement about fly to highlight the hypocracy on the matter. Of course Zwup can fly, we all know that because we are forced to make an assumption based on the model. We are also forced to make the assumption that because he can fly and he is cavalry, that he is also flying cavalry. Just...

The clarification is in there to differentiate between those flying models that have riders (cavalry) versus those that don't (harpies) I would think this is obvious. A hero on a great eagle is a flyer and cavalry therefore it is flying cavalry. Now you are actually guilty of what you accused other...

Basically the way it is ruled, anything riding a flying mount is a fast cavalry model, IE warhawks, terradons, pegasus knights, heros on great eagles... Only makes sense too... Actually, no.
