@MasterOfNone,
Thank you for the prompt - I’ll take some. As an introduction, please see the edited post above!

Re: A New Blog
Guys,
That's exactly how I felt about it - I'd just lost 7 silver helms in a single turn! One rock lobba stood opposite my left flank, ready to snipe my prince or BSB. I fired everything I could into that machine and scored those two wounds. One more shot to go...

Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Reports
THE SUN RISES ON AN OLD WORLD Seredain’s eyes snapped open, his breath quick. What a terrible dream! The Mother of the Elves a dying tree root. Asuryan the Creator a mere fortune teller, a cheap trickster. Maleketh the Murderer, the true king all along! Teclis a liar beyond redemption. The Defender...

Re: A New Blog
Well, I can explain my deployment. SA put his war machines down early. So, I could deploy in such a way as to put impassible terrain in the way of some of the enemy war machines’ line of sight. Secondly, the piece of impassible splitting SA’s zone in two. They could anchor a flank on this piece, but...

Re: A New Blog
Hi SA!
Indeed we had a good day. One slight correction: the second noble was as follows:
Noble - Lance, dragon armour, barded steed, Reaver Bow, Enchanted Shield, Luckstone, Other Trickster’s Shard - 176.
@MasterofNone - the lore I brought was High magic.

Re: A New Blog
SA, I really like the 2400 list. We’ve spoken before about the massive combat power you’ve got with your main unit and double trolls. The combined manglers and war machines is a lot of secondary DPS and floods the board with targets for enemy shooting / light units, too. We spoke before about the po...

Re: How to protect/hide from/reduce the impact of Cannnons
Hi Fergie, I love the theme of your list. If only we had Total War’s Silverin Guard to flesh out those spearman armies! I echo what SA has said. I think Shadow is a more natural fit for you if you want to field big blocks of spearmen. They need to kill stuff or else your list will be leaning too hea...

SA, Hale, torchbearer! First off, your wolf riders look great. Lovely paint job. So. 3,000 point list adaptations. We've had some thoughts on this recently, haven't we. I'm pretty boar ignorant about greenskins, but I can offer some general thoughts. Firstly, your troll loadout is super scary. It's ...

Re: 8th Edition Events In Britain
Thanks Prince that's helpful. I used to use Photobucket but now it looks as if all my old pics have PHOTOBUCKET written all over them, so I'd probably need an alternative. SA is the man in the know on this one - he told me about it. As far as he's aware, it's 3K points but with limits as if 2999, an...

Prince I hope so! The organisers haven't replied to my payment yet or an earlier email asking about place availability, either. Sooooo I've no idea what's happening. Fingers crossed. SA tells me it's a 2999 point tournament which has me brainstorming already. What's the best programme for posting pi...

Re: On GW and D&D
Hi all! GW shares have been on the up for some time but honestly I’d be astonished to see them cornering the market in MtG and D&D as well! If they manage it they’ll be the Google of fantasy IP. Perhaps it’s academic when literally all the Pathfinder games I play use GW models in any case. Hi S...

Re: WFB: Reworked and Rebalanced
First up, I have to say I'm even less a guy who's interested in the mechanics of rules changes. I tend to be more interested in taking a ruleset and seeing how it works. But I tend to agree with most of Seredain's points. Not sure about cutting the Anointed to two attacks but it's true he does come...

Comments on Updating 8th Edition High Elves Thank you Furion for inviting comments on this project which, to my mind at least, carries the great strength of tweaking 8th Ed rather than completely overhauling it (by and large, I thought 8th was a really good warhammer game). Below I put forward some...

Hey SA, To be honest, I know little about building daemon lists excepting what I've seen across me at tournies. I guess the danger here is that you might drip feed units into the enemy's jaws unless you can tie them together. Do these units of yours form tactical teams, a favourite army formation et...

Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Report
Defending with Knights Cinncinatti, Thanks. Absolutely this is one way I envisage using these units, in particular the helms and reavers. It’s worth making a brief note of my first game in this context. It was against ogres, fielding a formation of stonehorn (charges hard, takes half damage), thund...

Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Report
The Cavalry Prince in the Age of Sigmar Well, first off, I’m annoyed that only dragonlords get access to a uniquely good sword. There, I've got that off my chest. But aside from that, we have good news. I’m very grateful that the leadership abilities of princes make them excellent choices for combi...

Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Report
So, inevitably, with the site broken (what happened there?), I bugger off for a few months and then look what happens! 8th finishes and we have a whole new game come through the door. So I thought I’d sign off on the old list and welcome in my first draft for Age of Sigmar. I can only apologise to t...
