when you setup redirectors do you set them at least the movement distance away from the chargers so you would be a rolloff for cav and a good chance against infantry to get away? also wouldn't they be targets for other units to charge them even further away? don't have enough PG to make a decent unit out of. how about a prince or noble with combat gear in the white lions to save cost for more troops or magic items?

does the whole unit reroll or just the ones in base to base?

do you have to use the ambushers special deployment rule or can you opt to put them out as a normal unit if needed ? and when do you tell your opponent that you have that capability of being an ambush unit?
