It's supposed to be Ulthuan so I think unnaturally green is spot-on! I agree that the old world would be a bit more drear and dirtier-looking but this is the magically-saturated homeland of the elves we are talking about here.

I used a lot of spackle. I bought a 4 litre (about 1gallon) tub of it and after applying it to all the terrain I probably used 3/4 of it. It's up to 1/2 an inch (1-2 cm) thick in places. I applied it with my hands, just scooping it out by the handful and slapping it on. Not a job for neat freaks. Wh...
