Hi!
No skycutter does not count as monsters, the insciption "mounted great eagles" only refers to eagles with lord/hero on top, the chariot does not add in.

Wicksis recent Gem 2500 swecomp
So I've been running this list today for 3 battles 1massacre in my favor one massacre to opponent and one which was a loss but could have gone either way. I got to say i'm so far very happy with it and I'd like to se what you guys think of it it goes as following: Lords: 450 Annointed, Moltresk, dra...

Re: walk between worlds & a unit that has failed a charge
I'm very certain that you would be able to use your fly move as it says that you may move as if it was remaining moves and since you can fly in remaining moves no question about it. However if you can use it after a failed charge? One side of me wants to say yes as I think they only put the "as...

Re: Lore of Heavens
I'm currently experimenting with alot of different list but the by far most successfull one runs a lvl 4 heavens. Heavens is severely awesome; Urannons is great against flyers and other monsters or knights even which is basicly everything i usually have a struggle against Comet is great for taking o...

Re: Ulthuan Battle Ranking signup / game topic
K guys time to start making some games happen
This weekend my better half is going to belarus from friday evening to sunday morning, so quite frankly anytime between friday evening /sunday morning.
I'd prefer a 2500 Swecomp (8-16 ish) match as this is what I usually play, anyone intrested?

Re: Wait...Sea Guard? Really? - 2400 points
Hi! Granted I do believe it is a cool list, but I honestly dont think it will fare very well unfortunatly. The reason being that even tho you have 2 Archmages if you get one round of lets say 3-2 winds of magic without a channel you got (500ish points) doing absolutely nothing (k maybe 1 spell) so t...

I take a unit of 20 full command with a lvl 2 high magic with pendant of 4+ works very well most of the time.

Re: Let's talk about the Lore of Light
I've been having a blast using the Everqueen, mostly with lore of Light and banner. Its shocking the number of people who will let you have boosted timewarp forgetting the double movement. Realiably 2 dice pha's, and speed of light is also bananas. I use Silver Helms, White Lions and Phoenix guard ...

Re: Let's talk about the Lore of Light
Granted I've never tried lore of light neither have I've been tempted to, But as far as I can judge from the lore I'd say unless you actually face elves the lore doesnt seem that good. Banishment might be awesome if you got 1 or 2 extra mages to get the Strength up, I feel however that if you dont h...

Re: Outfitting a Prince on Foot - Need advice
-Ahem-. (slight) cheese time: Shadow armor - unlike other magic armors, it doesn't specify what kind of armor it is, so you could theoretically pick it alongside mundane armor Oh wow, you are right. Most other armors that does not list what they are cannot be combined unlike this one. If it was ano...

Arcane Unforging
Hi all! I was wondering on peoples take on Arcane unforging, I've heard from some people that it would only actually destroy an item if you wound your target if you dont then nothing else happens. And I have been reading this through and through and no where in the spell does it say "if wounded...

Acceptable survivability? Get him Armour of Caledor + Dawnstone, or Talisman of Preservation I dont have the book with me but isnt Talisman of pres the 6+ ward item? if so you wouldnt need it as armour of cal gives you 6+already (If Im not mistaken) so you can spend those 15 points on something bet...

Re: How do you run your sisters?
Does AP actually stack? Seems to me it would be a duplicate of a special rule and hence only apply once. AP does not stack. Sisters don't have AP. They have Arrows of Isha which grants a -1 one to Armor vs destruction. It does not grant AP. For that reason they are two different abilities that happ...

Errrrrm.... Cloak is due to my converted model, can be left off as not needed. I always seem to have 6 or 7 points left though so I throw it in. It has come in handy once or twice when leaving his unit too. I'm sorry if it came out offensive, the Lion cloak does look great but atleast in my opinion...

Re: Outfitting a Prince on Foot - Need advice
Why would you put a lion cloak on him? unless you are on a chicken I honestly cant find any use for it. It depends how much offence you would need but assuming you are kiting for survival; Dragon armor of caledor Dawnstone Halberd/Great weapon it also leaves you with 25points for other things you mi...

Re: Why the Hate on Spearmen and Core Units?
One thing I haven't mentioned is Swedish Comp. The HE's are capped at 50 archers under this system then you get hit pretty hard over this limit. I have tended to use Sisters, Shadow Warriors (higher BS) and RBT's on the table rather than core archers due to the archer Composition Cap. So my current...

Re: RBT tactics help
IMO Bolt throwers are a must in every succesfull High elf army, HOWEVER this does not make them reliable not at all. Some games they will quite frankly win you the game by killing a Daemon prince or killing all the chaff (or killing opponents boltthrower turn one..) However in majority of the games ...

I'm with rdghuizing, the root of this is to make more games happen and a side thing is to make people better at the game in general, so the simpler we start with the better. If there will only be 5 people interested in this then we don't really have to state to many do and don't however if the inter...

Re: Hoeth vs Ashur
In my current list I use Ashur but that is mainly because I run a comped enviroment. if you are running uncomped then Book of hoeth is better at casting or dispelling (and prevents from fluffing it! and makes it much more reliable to 1dice spells) that AND its cheaper so you can actually get a 4+war...

Re: Universal Battle combat score
One thing that spring to mind, that base 50 should it stay the same all the time or should it change in regard to if you get a crushing, major, minor win/loss? maybe have it as 75,50,25 or would this be offputting or to complicated you think?
