Re: Brian Mage's Elves - something is actually happening!!!
Wow! Never seen anything like this. Lots of folks use bone as a pivit point in there color sceme, but this, so original and so well exicuted. Very, very nice. The bases and tray provide the color while the mini gives the POP. Bravo Brian.

I think this sounds well rounded enough to be a fun tourny for any who care to participate. Not everyone likes this kind of thing, but for those who do, should be great. Sounds just about perfect to me BTW.

Re: High Elf assistance required.
High elves are my number one army. I will always collect and paint them. I have found it helpful to choose a color plan that is rather simple. My collection started out as blue with white and black details and has slowly shifted to white and bone with blue details. The plan has changed, but they sti...

Thanks for the quick response guys. As for other characters, BSB for sure. With no cap on character slots I feel like a kid in a candy store, just want them all.

Hi all. I've been inactive for quite a while but with the arrival of 8th it's time to jump back in. I now have three lion chariots so I was thinking of running two lion chariots and a third with korhil. What do you think. Is this just to many?

sounds good to me. I was thinking of building a white sword prince,( sword represented by the hero kit spear) and fluffing him to be some sort of epic hero spearman champ.

Re: New Island of Blood rumour?
The new highelf figs proportions remind me of the old one piece spear elves, I still like them today. :D They aged well. The horses are a reasonable update while still mixing well with the silverhelms box. :) Back to some proper heroic looking models for us. Great job GW. =D> As long as the new H.el...

I like units of 20,4x5. With support from lion chariot or 2x5 sword masters. I may try using 20 spears supported by 15 spears.

Hey Silver, glad to see you looking to the fun and balanced side of things. I remember a while back when your lists and advice was much more to the power bent.
I am with SpellArcher on this. E with 2 mages or Prince with one.

Re: Opinions on color scheme
How about boltgun but darker. It gives plenty of room to highlight up to . When painting this dark armor I just start with boltgun on a black undercoat. A couple black washes and clean up with boltgun and highlight with chainmail. Would look great with yellow IMO and set off any gold metal trim and ...

Why the large base? Is it 40 or 50 ?
I love it. These Guys are just begging to stand in as knorn juggers.

Re: Swordmasters vs Chariot
Lion chariots are to me the perfect unit to give "a little extra help". Faster than footmen, with narrow frontage for combo charges to the front of the enemy unit. Charge with it first for the fear factor to work best I think.

Re: Making 'Lion Rider' conversions
I think it should be ok as well. It's always nice to get extra use from your models. One day they could count as dragon princes, another time they could team up, 2 to a chariot base for lion chariot duty. Pins or magnets in the feet should work well.

Re: Foundations - A(nother) High Elf re-think -minus ASF-
I feel your thinking is in the right direction on a lot of this. Helms as core archers, shoot in 2 ranks Seaguard , free reform, maby 2 hand weapon (pros after all), fire bodkins one round only 8) spears, heavy armor shadows 2 hand weapon This would be plenty of a boost I think without to much change...

Re: Making 'Lion Rider' conversions
Siverhelm legs on a lion body should work without any mods or green stuff. I havn't built one yet, but I have messed around with the pieces, holding them together to check for fit and they look fine to me.
What do you think about 2 lion riders on a chariot base to be used as a lion chariot?

I like the bonus when being charged, makes sense. Also like the veteran spears, very cool.
The lion riders models are being played already and so would be nice to give them some rules.I like them with great weapons,no lances or shields and fast cav.

As much as I like silverhelms, I must agree that a very competitive environment is not the place for them. I would drop the WL to 10 with no command upgrade the helms to Dragon princes and see how your points sit.

Re: Will this work in a 2250 tourney?
I think this list could work well. Most of your main units, except the tiranoc chariot are good or at least capable. The tiranoc can't do much in this list that another choice wouldn't do better. I might replace it with Silver Helms(for some semi flanking or diversion) or Reavers for all out fast ca...
