Re: Tor Lupa's might!

The pitch looks great and very professional! How did you make it?

The team is shaping up nicely. With a bit more color, some shading and the transfers they'll look great.

Re: Ulthuan Rallies for War

These small games can be quick and loads of fun. They're a great way to get into the game. They just need to be taken not very seriously. As you noticed, they can be very unbalanced. Some things become a lot more powerful, while others lose their power. Skaven rank bonus is a good example of how it'...

Re: Fielding a prince in Warhammer Armies project

Where do you get the 3+ Ward save? Oh, I guess we went down an 8th Edition rabbit hole. "However, no model may have a Ward save better than 4+ by combining multiple Ward saves regardless of source So for me the question would come back to whether Tomb Guard and Grave Guard retain Killing Blow ...

The bad news is that Skycutters cost a fortune when you can find one to buy... Ah yes, there is that problem. You could always auction off your first-born child. I've been given to understand demons of chaos are fond of them... ;) Just keep your eyes open. Every now and then you come across a deal ...

Re: Tiranocii Drag race list

I'm unsure which as an army wide effect is more important tbh an extra two on ldrship checks or a reroll so which do I want to protect more General or BSB. definitely the BSB. HE have universally high LD, which makes the difference between LD8 and LD 10 not that big. On the other hand, getting a re...

Re: Fielding a prince in Warhammer Armies project

I can see that working, yes. Though HE don't do a very good death star in my opinion. 3+ ward Phoenix Guard are one of the options, though I feel they would still die to other death stars with higher damage output. I would also be tempted by some other magic lore. Mindrazored PG are probably the sin...

Re: 6th Edition battle Blog... Bit of a mess 😂

Was honestly a joy to fight this Dwarf Army, gorgeously painted and the models were solely the old original individual metal models. That sounds like an amazing sight. Some of those older models look stunning, and a whole army full of them is great. That and having a nice opponent to play with is w...

Still, having fun is what it's all about :) When is the next battle planned? And is there any chance of some pictures?

Re: Fielding a prince in Warhammer Armies project

The main issue with infantry killing by a character is the combination of the low number of attacks (relatively speaking), the low base S, and the low T. Low T means that protection is important, so you can't just spend all points on offense. Low S means that adding more attacks (with Sword of Strif...

Re: Tiranocii Drag race list

That definitely looks like a fun list! A few things you can do to improve your list (in my opinion at least). I would: - drop the shield of merwym on the lord. He doesn't get the parry save when mounted (parry is when on foot only), which basically makes it a regular shield. I'd probably change him ...

Why no musician on the second wolf rider unit? I'm not too familiar with CD to give detailed imput. I'm mainly wondering if you've got enough combat damage options to score enough points. Shooting is nice, but it's hard to completely finish a unit with shooting. Which might see you destroy a lot of ...

Re: Feedback on High elves 1000 pts. army

Indeed, SpellArcher is correct with the definition of force multiplier. Chariots by themselves aren't amazing. They're relatively slow and squishy. However, they're great to combine with a different unit, especially infantry, at lower points. The impact hits can be very deadly with an average roll. ...

Re: Feedback on High elves 1000 pts. army

I think the list is good enough for a returning player playing in a friendly tournament. One thing to note is that the game isn't really designed for 1.000 pts. Games can get a bit unbalanced, especially if people try to push their list to the limit. I would say, go with this one. There's nothing wr...

The big problem is getting hold of the minis you want. When I have money there are none I need on ebay. When I do not have money.... Anyway, I really would like to have one more repeater. And more Silver helms. More spears would not be bad either. After all, Cothique is famed for their spears and v...

Re: Ulthuan Rallies for War

Yeah, holding it can be a bit of a pain. I often see better / more professional painters either temporarilly glue the model to something (or use something like blue-tack) or clamp it in some kind of vice. I always remind myself I should get something like that and then don't...

The skaven look great. You've really captured the nastyness of the little buggers. I've done a couple of test models to figure out how I want to do the traditional High Elf "fans" on their armor and uniforms. Once again, regretting leaving these little details all for the end. Along with t...

Sounds (and looks) like a great tournament. A shame you had some moments which could have gone better and that you ran into a gamey player. On the other hand, that last game just sounds awesome. The gitz in a tournament setting would look amazing. They might be loads of fun, though perhaps checking ...

I've also worked with blue stuff in the past, and it's easy enough to work with. If you have an example you can copy it fairly easily. It holds details enough for R&F models. I haven't found 3D print files for them just yet. I'm guessing it's a bit too specific a part for it to be offered online...

I'm not a fan of the noble on foot (though I understand the need to have Ramesesis in your list...). I think they don't add enough for the points they cost. They're not mobile enough to be sure to get where they need to be and don't deal enough damage and are fairly squishy. As for core, I'd be curi...

The horse looks great. It's indeed a bit different from your normal sea green, but I think he'll still fit really well with the rest of the army and make him stand out at the same time. The red and green does feel a bit "old school". I think one of the first versions of the Dragon Princes ...
