I only lost to the Jeremy V who won the event and is part of team USA Solid showing. =D> Tbh if I would have got the last W on his vampire lord turn 1 it woul...

Re: Hands Across The Annulii - Avelorn and Chrace
Sometimes I think my choice of provinces and themes is some kind of backdoor wood elf envy... I resolved this issue by collecting both High and Wood Elf armies. The problem of which to field remains of course... we're getting a blast of snow from the arctic circle at the mo, so spraying in the shed...

I agree. The colours are really rich. I see what you mean about the bone Sturen but it still looks good and very striking.Prince of Spires wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 12:47 pmI like them. The red and blue work great together. And the bone armour sets it off nicely. It's a great effect and makes them look regal and menacing.

What a labour of love! You've really poured everything into these Icarion. The Gorfan terminator conversion is especially effective. My two favourites though are Skulltaker and Skarbrand. The dark greys are a really nice touch.

Caradryan is a character, I got to place him down last with my other characters, and I got to see where the abomination would likely have to be placed Solid reasoning. To kick off the Lustria campaign, I faced a dark elven pirate army. Led by Lokhir Fellheart! Highly appropriate. We decided to play the spawning pools as open for movement otherwise it would just add an extra turn of slogging forwards! Quite an open field already, clearly your opponent was keen to ...

Another (short) battle report. Welcome back Sturen. :) I’m running 7th edition high elves because the 6th edition Phoenix Guard rules make me sad and I’ve got 25 of them! Shrewd move. Is two bolt throwers and 10 PD a bit cheesy? Perhaps but the rest is fair. Good but not horrific I would say. My op...

Really solid and crucially this seems to combine with a S6 in the first round and S5 thereafter, if I'm understanding correctly?

Re: Thoughts on Swordmasters of Hoeth (Warhammer Armies Project)
It's thematic that you want a High Mage with your Swordmasters to boost up their Ward Save, but they lack the staying power This reminds me of why Seredain switched from Swordmasters to Phoenix Guard in 8th. Most of the time the SM's (with Shield of Saphery) could raise a respectable Ward save but ...

Re: Tethlis' Army Blog, back after 9 years
Hi All. It's been many, many years since I posted a battle report. Nice to see another, Tethlis! I find the combination of PG and Lions interesting because that worked quite well in 8th, though I'm not sure about adding the powerful Helms. Overall though it looks like a nicely balanced list, squeez...
