Re: The Perfect Body Shape is Spherical: On Dwarven Sense of Beauty
After all, the goddess of love and fertility, Freyja, attained her magical necklace Brisingamen by bedding the four Dwarf craftsmen Alfrigg, Berling, Dvalinn, and Grerr. Saucy girl! In general I agree, Dwarfs wouldn't find themselves inherantly uglier than Elves for example. Though there's a ...

Re: Spell Generation
Well it's a lot different from WHFB because now all your wizards normally will get to try to cast every single one of their spells every single turn. A out-of-the-box Archmage without any upgrades is going to be trying to cast 4 spells every turn at full strength. I take the point that there'll be ...

Re: Spell Generation
Thanks guys. It struck me that spell selection might be more of a priority than in 8th? Having to re-roll doubles in particular complicates things. Seredain's list for example has Lvl 4 Silvery Wand plus Lvl 2 Lore Familiar and I suspect he's not the only one. It reminds me of Lord Anathir's build u...

Re: Spell Generation
Thanks guys. That's what I thought but good to get confirmation from those who know more about this game than I currently do. There must be some interesting phases based on repeat casting. To add in the page reference: BBB p 319, the italic text at the bottom of the page: "Note that wizards in ...

A wizard rolls and retains the spell Fireball (for example). A second wizard from the same army also rolls that spell. Can he keep it?

Re: The Old World Preorders are Jan 6th 2023
the winter storms in the area of the NA warehouse have a death toll What is it with the damn weather? Even here (and of course in a lot of countries) there's a storm every week or two and a few people die sadly. Not yet, starting to hear about store stocks coming in. Fingers crossed. What are your ...

Maneaters Just really nice MoN, as mentioned earlier I love the detail work, especially on the armour. I am a bit gutted OK are not supported in TOW Indeed they're not in the two big books but did you see this? https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/znSsuqGDHMsFIK5V.pdf

Re: The Old World Preorders are Jan 6th 2023
I'm going for the local game store too, one that's huge and has a solid reputation for GW inventory. How did you do Tethlis? I scored Forces of Fantasy. Even by gw standards I get the sense that they've hugely underestimated sales for the Old World The GW I went to had (I think) a single copy of Ra...

Re: Sturens Painting Log (updated Jan 2024 – Carnivorous Carnival)
We're so back! Aren't we though! I'm looking forward to working towards a completely painted 2000 points of elves. Look forward to seeing this develop. But, I have two depressing factors: first, my beloved gaming store, with the jungle table seen above and a surprising number of Warhammer fantasy v...

Re: 4000 Point game - HE vs Lizardmen
Welcome sir and congratulations on your victory! :) The Mon Cav house rule looks a little strong to me. They're no longer the absolute terror they were mid-edition but Demigryphs and Skullcrushers for example remain powerful troops. The Cavalry house rule looks fine, though they also are good troops...
