Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Reports
My man! Sir! I'm on holiday at the moment and spending it writing new armies following GW's assault on my Walk Between Worlds cavbus uber-cheese. You know what, I'm not even upset. Running people over with ghost knights is an easy way to kill everyone's hobby. Well I hope the holiday was good. I im...

Loving the Star Lance!
It looks rich and splendid. There are depths to both this and the dragonhide that contrast very well.Turion Rilyaloce wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 7:43 amIn the meantime I’ve finally brought the throne into the NMM fold

Looking as fine as ever.
Does their list seem good and full-featured for play Tyrren? Given it's not from the core books.
Doing Ulthuan proud!

Re: Ulthuan Rallies for War
Wellp, those base adapters finally showed up and they were a wash. They printed them in hard plastic as opposed to the soft plastic they advertised in their video. I was hoping for something that would be easy and damage-free when placing on my old bases. I'm also realizing how different GW 20mm ba...

Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Reports
Welcome back buddy! I hope everything's going alright and we can get a game in soon. If you're stuck for a while in rebasing hell, I can offer movement trays with Oldhammer-sized base slots in them. Mountain Miniatures sells them. Clever. Thanks dude! Yes, a game soon would be awesome. What's movin...

You're on! I have all the models to make this army. SA and I were talking about getting a game in so this would be a good opportunity whilst he paints up his new army. The delay is now on me: I need to finish up my Seaguard unit! After several RL months of doom I finally have most of the bases I ne...

Re: The Perfect Body Shape is Spherical: On Dwarven Sense of Beauty
After all, the goddess of love and fertility, Freyja, attained her magical necklace Brisingamen by bedding the four Dwarf craftsmen Alfrigg, Berling, Dvalinn, and Grerr. Saucy girl! In general I agree, Dwarfs wouldn't find themselves inherantly uglier than Elves for example. Though there's a ...

Re: Spell Generation
Well it's a lot different from WHFB because now all your wizards normally will get to try to cast every single one of their spells every single turn. A out-of-the-box Archmage without any upgrades is going to be trying to cast 4 spells every turn at full strength. I take the point that there'll be ...

Re: Spell Generation
Thanks guys. It struck me that spell selection might be more of a priority than in 8th? Having to re-roll doubles in particular complicates things. Seredain's list for example has Lvl 4 Silvery Wand plus Lvl 2 Lore Familiar and I suspect he's not the only one. It reminds me of Lord Anathir's build u...

Thanks guys. That's what I thought but good to get confirmation from those who know more about this game than I currently do. There must be some interesting phases based on repeat casting. To add in the page reference: BBB p 319, the italic text at the bottom of the page: "Note that wizards in ...

A wizard rolls and retains the spell Fireball (for example). A second wizard from the same army also rolls that spell. Can he keep it?

Maneaters Just really nice MoN, as mentioned earlier I love the detail work, especially on the armour. I am a bit gutted OK are not supported in TOW Indeed they're not in the two big books but did you see this? https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/znSsuqGDHMsFIK5V.pdf

Re: The Old World Preorders are Jan 6th 2023
I'm going for the local game store too, one that's huge and has a solid reputation for GW inventory. How did you do Tethlis? I scored Forces of Fantasy. Even by gw standards I get the sense that they've hugely underestimated sales for the Old World The GW I went to had (I think) a single copy of Ra...
