Something I learned from my perspective... if you're getting weak or average magic phases, and you simultaneously need to be throwing 4+ dice at a single important spell each round, soul quench spam is not a replacement for a strong bolt thrower-based shooting phase. I feel the key here is reliabil...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

Well some imbalance is what makes it Warhammer. I agree up to a point Morgen. For example, many consider 8th not nearly balanced enough but I'm happy to play it out of the box. With 8th army books (and 6th) though, all are at least vaguely in the same ballpark, power wise. The same is not true of 7...

7th was a decent ruleset, the problem was the imbalanced army books.

The cloaks are more desaturated than they look here, that light blue has quite a bit of grey in it.
They look great MoN but I guess slightly more subdued makes sense.

Re: The Cavalry Prince - List Design, Tactics, Battle Reports

I tried it on iphone and mac. I may as well have been using a shoe. :( I felt like my opponent made a mistake not taking cannons, but the tournament comp perhaps helped me there. Can Engineers improve cannon? 7 v 5, which was squashed by the Book of Hoeth. Presumably the Prayers are only dangerous ...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

I think perhaps not, but if you happened to see on the Border Princes map they released, right in the south corner there is a Scarab emblem, so that suggests some sneaky Tomb Kings. I just wonder how they’re going to handle it. How many armies in the initial release and how fast they introduce othe...
