Yeah, I can totally understand that reasoning, it makes sense. You may very well have the right of it. It goes back to my original interpretation of how the spell worked, but a lot of noisy folks kept saying I was wrong in my interpretation.

I would replace the Phoenix Guard with Swordmasters (Drilled) since you already have a nice hefty anvil with the Sea Guard. You could also go the other way and try to make your Phoenix Guard your anvil, remove the Sea Guard and put more offense into your Core with more Silver Helm units.
