Which brings me to 8, that could form two units of four. I promise I won't recycle again images of previously posted models.

Yes they are, with heads changed, and other modifications to the weaponry.

Here is the latest production Two more Maneaters and then I'll move to the Ironblasters.

I for one would be happy for my ogres to be pounded by your superior tactical skills, were we to meet on the battlefield.
It would be both fun (despite the pounding) and instructive for me.
Alas, very unlikely to happen given the distance.

Sadly the third party options I've seen are not great either.

Boy, did those two butchers drag on... But finally they are done. Can't say I love the paint job, but they turned out OK, considering how ugly and unpleasant to paint were the models. Now I have happily moved on to other things - got two extra Ironguts who will be my banner and champion - will move ...

I'vd used this way of making models for a few years.
If you check out my painting blog I clearly mention when a model or unit has been cast by me.
Overall looking closely the difference is obvious, but for models in back ranks it can work.

I am stuck painting butchers - some of the ugliest models ever. This is dragging on and on and every model I see becomes a welcome distraction. So I am actually painting faster my remaining three man-eaters, and another two Ironguts (one being a banner). And I have also built a quite cool transport ...

No, that's the hunter's blood vulture from the stonehorn miniature.

My first miniature of the year is my BSB! As usual, I was too lazy to do the freehand. I guess all the banners will get it at the same time, down the line.

Just an inconvenience, I wasn't very ill.
I was more core concerned with being able to fly back from Italy, which I am glad to say I managed.

Hope you had a better Christmas than me, I had to isolate from the rest of the family (old parents etc) because I got Covid at a strategically inconvenient time.

And now my iron guts: I am particularly pleased with the standard bearer:

I have now completed my core troops!
Today I am posting the Bulls, tomorrow the Ironguts.
Here they go! I have left the freehand on the banner for some other time.

I'm nearly done with the bulls and the ironguts, just the finishing touches on the standard bearers are needed.
Will share hopefully tomorrow.

That's the principle used by Seredain in his latest army lists.

My first complete unit is the Leadbelchers, and I am pretty pleased with how they turned out.
My two core units are not far off and I expect them to be ready before Christmas (hopefully sooner).
