Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
I didn't take a mage. Lesson certainly learnt! Given you've quite a lot of shooting, a Lvl 2 on High Magic with the Seer honour might be idea, to give you Drain Magic, Fury of Khaine and Curse of Arrow Attraction. Yes that's what I was thinking, but level 2 mage for 6th edition doesn't give me a lo...

Wow excellent work so far, I really like the replacement heads for the spearmen. The shields are really nicely painted. Looking forward to more updates!
Good luck with your project.

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
I completely failed to conduct the proper rituals over the dice and so lady luck decided to play silly buggers. Not that I really minded, it was great to get a game in with an old friend and share in a bit of Warhammer goodness! My mate there has been wanting to paint his old army the same way I hav...

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
Hello everyone! Can't believe it's been so long since I posted, but have not had any Elf related posts to put up. Been extremely busy moving house, doing some work abroad and all sorts. However, did manage to finally have a game of 6th edition with my good friend and his Orcs and Gobbos! Unfortunate...

Rumour Engine and Eldar
So I don't know if anyone else has been keeping track of the Advent rumour engine but it looks like Eldar are finally going to get some new releases.
As our brothers and sistren in arms in the grim darkness of the far future I'm certainly keen to buy them.
What does everyone else think?

Re: Henry Cavill on Warhammer
Quite a few are pretty big warhammer fans.
I think Robin Williams is probably one of the biggest, he had a huge Blood Angels army.
Vin Diesel is also pretty big into D&D and 40k.

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Really like the colours on the dragon, makes it look like something that's just risen out the depths. I'd maybe say the mage could do with a different colour though, to create more contrast!

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
What I love about the unit is how between the unusual colour scheme and the subtle conversions, it has a clear identity of it’s own. Totally agreeing with SpellArcher ! I love them. For the socks, maybe the paint is a bit too glossy and too dark compared to rest of the horse ? But my experience on ...

He’s awesome Olthannon, the colours are spot on. Your photography leveled up too! Those shots are so vibrant, good job on those colors, they're incredibly striking! I particularly like the sword :) Btw at some point I needed tails for my horses too and I bought some from a UK-based seller of metal ...

Re: Azaam's journey to his full painted army
Great work Azaam! The bone colour of the armour is really cool. I think my favourite is the turquoise seaweed. The contrast makes that colour pop so beautifully. They will look great as a unit.

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
I think I missed it but the round shields... are they from dwarf minis or somewhere else? Hi Nicanor, yeah they are from the old Dwarf sprue, can't remember which ones exactly. The round shield works great with the axe. It's a good find for the looks you're going for. I was just taking a look and I...

Thanks for the kind words folks!
Quick update to show off my second reaver, the musician. Three more till this first unit is completed. I also gave the first one a shield.
Enjoy!

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
Looks great. It's becoming an impressive force. I had the same realisation at some point. I was always painting individual units and it always felt like slow going. Until I put everything together. At some point I calculated the points of all the painted models I could field and I got somewhere ove...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World
I read an article recently (possibly BoLS?) that sounded about spot on. Won't get model previews till mid next year according to a leak. Stuff at the start will be more definitely Old World (dwarves, Bretonnians, Empire, Chaos etc) and then it won't be for a while before we start getting the more ou...

Gemstone painting tutorials
Hi everyone! A topic that is near and dear to all of us Asur, the painting of gems! Does anyone have any good tutorials (either ones they've done themselves or have seen online) to share? I'm used to doing the classic red gems from the old army books but I'm really interested in finding some tips fo...

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
It looks fine Olthannon but I’d have been tempted by red. Thankee kindly, yes I am also thinking either red or possibly a navy blue. I like him, and I agree that the axe is a nice touch. As for where to get greenstuff, there's a fair few online stores that have it. Ebay is a pretty good source for ...

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
Hi everybody, Finished up one of my Ellyrian Reavers. Pretty happy with the result, I was thinking of going for a more colourful helmet plume but in the end I just kept it white. Of course with a Chracian army, I thought they would suit cavalry axes better than spears. Maybe somewhere down the line ...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World
Well, I figures when they said in that earlier article about it being 28mm and such, they said about wanting everyone to be able to use their old models. So I think there will be some releases, mainly of Empire and Bretonnians (?) but the lore will be there saying that other armies are there so go a...
