I think that the way you build your army list determines the Tactics you can employ, but the list itself is not Tactics.

The Achmage I presume goes in the cavalry bus which has no Magic defense, so can be Searing Doomed as well as other things. So as mentioned above Magic Defence for this unit MR3? or the Achmage may be better in the WL's where miscasts will be negated by the BotWD.

You need some flaming to deal with the Hellpit either Banner Eternal Flame and/or Sisters and/or Fire Magic.

The white lion unit looks a bit small for my liking 15+ with BotWD may be better.

I would be casting Final Transmutation on the knight bus for 6 turns until it is smaller in size meanwhile re-directing it with chaff (Eagles &/or Reavers).

Eventually Multi charge the Knight Bus with WL's and Silverhelms/Dragon Princes.

If you can get a few wounds on the Stanks from shooting and Magic it makes them less of a threat.

The Starlance and a character with the Giant or Ogre Blade can help.

I agree to some extent with Zhorn. The Meta game certainly determines which race has an advantage in the match ups.

I keep mine cheap and run them with just spears.

Foot bowmen you can get 3 for the price of 1 Reaver with spear & bow.

I agree with John Rainbow.

I have updated my Dragons to be on the chariot sized bases.

I also put Tyrion on a cavalry base as the profile in the HE book doesn't say he is Monstrous Cavalry and the therefore 40mm base the model comes with could be misleading.

Alith Anor is good under Swedish a BS 7 Bolthrower that can stand and shoot whats not to like.

Battle Standard Bearer, Barded Elven Steed, Star-lance, Charmed Shield, Luckstone, Dragon Armour 2+ AS, 6+ WS & ignore first hit.

Good vs Cannons, Searing Dooms and Dreaded 13ths.

Golden Crown and/or Charmed Shield are a must on your Dragon Mage to stop cannon balls. Also Dragon Armour to prevent Searing Dooms.

Gem of Sunfire is nice on the Dragon Mage for the +! to wound Fireballs and Breathe weapon on the Dragon.
