Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Sorry to hear that Elendor. Thanks, I am feeling better now :) Nice browns! Thanks! I thought it could be good practice for eyes, since they are big, but after a couple of failed trials I decided that pupils are too hard. I decided to adjust my Swordmasters to the blue-and-green scheme of the rest ...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
I'm feeling that purple! That's an 80's colour scheme right there. Thanks! I tend to like these colourful schemes, although it was not my intention from the beginning :) Awaited with interest! The elf sorceress was delayed due to painting this Giant that I was going to use in an event as an Albion ...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Thanks SpellArcher :) I have decided that next I will paint the Avatars of War elf mage that I got as a gift from a friend, since it represents her character from a Warhammer RPG game we played a couple of years ago. I assembled and primed the model, so the painting can start! In the meantime I revi...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Long time no see! I took a long break from the hobby, but recently I have taken my brushes again :) I managed to get the standard bearer model for the Maiden Guard, and luckily I had a couple of flags from the plastic Spearelves sprue. Runes are the top of my freehand ability, so I opened my 6th HE ...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Thanks! I am glad you like the colours! The next Mage I paint should probably have a different colour scheme, as I used the same one I did for Teclis more or less. The green stuff saddle idea is probably the best one, I have never used green stuff but thankfully someone in YouTube will have a tutori...

Re: Ulthuan Rallies for War
Wow, what a journey :D Congratulations and a well deserved break! I really like how the army looks like, it's very coherent while its unit has its own personality, and I love the clean painting. And, as you said, you can always get some extra details done once in a while. Let us know when you play s...

Re: From Chracia with Love (and a Hawkship)
Great unit! I agree that it has an identity of its own, some details like the axes, the sword or the waystone are really cool. The bases give some autumn vibes that fit well with the white-and-red scheme I think

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
I had some spare time and motivation last evening and I finished the Mage of ice and fire :D I had fun painting the staff and the sword, although I should really look at some Youtube video on how to improve faces. There he is (this picture shows a bit the slightly awkward gap between the legs I ment...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Impressive! Thanks! Let's see if I can make the Dragon look a bit "shinier" now. Really like the colours on the dragon, makes it look like something that's just risen out the depths. I'd maybe say the mage could do with a different colour though, to create more contrast! Thank you, I imag...

Re: Ulthuan Rallies for War
Thanks Elendor! Been a pleasure seeing your recent activity in the painting forum. I've slowed down drastically lately, and I think it's time for a break. I've got a sizeable force that I can make some pretty varied lists with, and there are only a couple of things I want to try out, those being Si...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
As my painting improves my older mini's will start looking worse by comparission. However, I long ago decided to never repaint a mini unless there was nothing else to paint. I would much rather have a fully painted army where half looks only acceptable because I painted them a long time ago than ha...

I like the colour scheme! Looking forward to see more of the Sea Guard.
I use mostly Vallejo (Model Colour and Game Colour) but now I am curious about the difference with the Army Painter paints.

I particularly like the sword
Btw at some point I needed tails for my horses too and I bought some from a UK-based seller of metal horse tails on eBay, but he does not seem to have them available anymore

I was just taking a look and I like the colours for the Shadow Warriors, they have a suitable dark vibe.

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
I especially like the second shot. It looks cleaner, definitely :) I like the colors you used. It gives a very different feeling than what we're used to see for Swordmasters. Also the base are pretty good. Nice job ! Thank you! I am now considering to repaint the other 21 Swordmasters I have with t...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
I have had some time this weekend to finish 2 Swordmasters that I had bought some time ago.
The paint on the sword ended a bit thicker than I intended, but overall I had fun painting them

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Long time no see! I have finally picked up my brushes again and I painted a Giant Eagle yesterday. The model is a Pathfinder Deep Cuts: Giant Eagle, and it is a really enjoyable model to paint: it's a single piece so no need to assemble anything, came pre-primed, and the plastic support bit is reall...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
Seeing a full army picture makes my heart swell. They look great and formidable! Thanks a lot!! :D Great to see a full army shot (reminds me I need to do the same on the future). Although it would be a total pain you could delve further into the marine scheme and change the bases to more of a sea t...

Re: Azaam's journey to his full painted army
I think they look fantastic! I like the overall result, and the green gems work really well. I agree with making the red area wider on the swords and with adding contrast to the plumes of the helms. For hair, what I personally do: Copper blonde: yellow base + Reikland Fleshshade wash + yellow highli...

Re: Elendor's Host of the White Tower
turquoise/green/blue colour scheme This really comes across, a 'marine' touch. Glad it is the case :) I started with the idea to have a colour scheme fitting to Saphery, but over time I decided I like more this marine touch, since High Elves are very connected to the sea. I guess now it fits more Y...

While I paint the Dragon and its two possible riders, some army pictures! (I did not include my Archers and Swordmasters since I am considering adapting them to the turquoise/green/blue colour scheme).
