Re: Rumour Engine and Eldar

They also got scaled up. I wonder how soon will we see Primaris "shrink" compared to other miniatures.

Maguan and the Avatar are coming next week if I am not mistaken.

I hope Avatar will be a good one and not too busy.

I really hope we get some nice stuff. If I am not mistaken Eldar have the largest number of models of any army that are more than 20 years old.

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

It is worth remembering when managing expectations GW's model-rules policy. GW doesn't produce rules for models they do not sell. Now think what that means for some of the old armies like High Elves.

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

That was the last edition I played seriously as well. The game has become such a mess since then that unless you are playing narratively it is pretty much pointless.

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

I have also felt that there was a big difference between how the game designers played and viewed the game and how a lot of players did. Since I have spent time on the inside of the process I can confirm your feeling. I will never forget the question "Why should I spend maximum magic point on ...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

the biggest mistake they did with 8th in particular was forcing larger and larger units into play I don't think that was actually true. Outside a few specific units size changes like TK and VC Skeletons there weren't that many units that had a drastic change. The overall model count for armies rema...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

Based on some hints I am getting the scale of the game will be quite different from the WHFB. Both in less miniatures needed to play and the size of miniatures. As far as mini sizes go Warhammer Quest should be a good indicator.

Nice bit of recent history for them to work with.

:)
Though the HE mage that helped defend Marienburg from Manfred would be even more recent thing and a perfect opportunity to flesh out an otherwise little known character.

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

That was supposed to be the period of the "great opening" when HE started returning to the Old World after basically centuries of being relegated to tales and legends. So around the time of Finubar’s embassy to the Wood Elves? Slightly later. Finubar was in the Old World from 2002 till 20...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

That places it at the start of Finubar's reign, about 100 years before the great chaos incursion. Enough stuff happening, and Finubar is active enough internationally to give HE a role in whatever they have planned. True. That was supposed to be the period of the "great opening" when HE s...

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

Also in case anyone was wondering when the thing will take place the Bretonnian part of the map reveals the "current" king is Louen Orc-Slayer who as we know from the last BR AB reigned around the year 2201. For us as HE players it means that the game is unlikely to include Tyrion or Tecli...

But dear god what have the HE become in AoS.
