Re: 2000pts Lothern themed list

What Lores of Magic do you plan to use?

I would also advise splitting three great eagles into two individuals if you have 5 points to space. It should provide more tactical opportunities. Either way this is one nasty gunline :D

Re: Old World Almanack – Your First Look at the Rules

Word on the grapewine is the February-March release window and I know from testers that the rulebook had been finished early this year. The testing of the lists had continued some time after that. Welcome SirFrog. :)

With the Ulthuan about to reemerge from the waves in the near future I am expecting there will be plenty to discuss.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/11/20/old-world-almanack-fight-the-good-fight-in-the-combat-phase/ The close combat looks like the best features of 6th and 8th put together with a bit of influence from WAB and 3rd. While conceptually the changes to breaking are interesting I have low confid...

Re: Warhammer the old world

@Giladis, have you come across any hints about rules or game mechanics? I'd be interested to know which way they're leaning, and what they've got in mind in terms of default army sizes etc. I have talked to a couple of people. But being on the other side of the NDAs before I didn't ask anything spe...

Re: Warhammer the old world

Considering the rules are still being playtested I would not hold my breath for a 2023 release. Though the rules are close to being print ready.

It is always nice to see people having fun.

Ramesesis can you share what bits you used to make your Prince I really like the combo and would like to recreate him.

I see Corsairs body and I think Shadow Warriors right arm.

They also got scaled up. I wonder how soon will we see Primaris "shrink" compared to other miniatures.

Maguan and the Avatar are coming next week if I am not mistaken.

I hope Avatar will be a good one and not too busy.

I really hope we get some nice stuff. If I am not mistaken Eldar have the largest number of models of any army that are more than 20 years old.

Re: Warhammer: The Old World

It is worth remembering when managing expectations GW's model-rules policy. GW doesn't produce rules for models they do not sell. Now think what that means for some of the old armies like High Elves.

That was the last edition I played seriously as well. The game has become such a mess since then that unless you are playing narratively it is pretty much pointless.

I have also felt that there was a big difference between how the game designers played and viewed the game and how a lot of players did. Since I have spent time on the inside of the process I can confirm your feeling. I will never forget the question "Why should I spend maximum magic point on ...
