Re: Vampire counts problem
I'd be wary about relying on the PG ward save against a vampire lord as they tend to bring The Other Trickster's Shard about 90% of the time.

Re: 2500 point Asur
Thanks for the reply I think I would do better with a block of 40 spears as opposed to LSG since they can't march and shoot. LSG lose their effectiveness for me if they aren't in a defensive type of list. The spears can go up against enemy steadfast units like empire spears and stormvermin and break...

2500 point Asur
Hello I'm a fan of having many troops, especially since most people have multiple steadfast units running around. I'm steering away from phoenixes as I find having another unit is more important than what our monsters contribute. AM, level 4, Book, 4+ ward, Lore of Beasts Noble BSB, Crown of Command...

Re: 2500 pts - White Lion Horde - USA Indy GT list
Yeah, you have only have that one unit that can kill things so I don't see it working all that much, especially when you are going up against GT players. Perhaps consider dropping a couple bolt throwers for some dragon princes and lowering hte number of lions in that unit? I would definitely grab at...

Hearts are also on the Silver Helm models. I have an old standard bearer model (armored archers? don't know) that also had a few on him.

Re: How do I use a White Lion Horde?
Go with a horde, don't split them up.
Use Lore of Light for the extra attack (or the speed boost so they don't get you with impact hits).
WS 10 is also nice as it will make the enemy miss you a lot.

On another note, I am very, very sad for having parted with my large amount of Maiden Guard. Ouch.

Re: Is it still a monster mash out there?
It's popular in the northeastern U.S. where Ogres and WoC are played in a great deal of places. Demigryphs are in 90% of the Empire armies and it was an Empire player that won Templecon a short while ago. I myself play TK's and bring a warsphinx and 2 units of 5 knights. Some lizzie players make use...

Re: The worst of the worst!
Warpflame. The fact you are trying to do away with your enemy and end up giving him a permanent benefit is mindboggling (not to mention that the regen save can improve the more you hit them). I know the Slaanesh spell that deals D6 Str 3 to a unit each turn and gives it frenzy can be looked upon in ...

A question about your meta
Hello all This is something I've said every now and then on other forums over the years (removes gray hair). Do you ever find that lists suggested to you or used by others don't work well in your local meta? I've seen it plenty of times and while using a list from one of the stronger armies gives me...

Re: New Daemons
They can make things less similar by giving armies/units different rules. By adding these charts they will slow games down and insert unecessary things that will take away from the enjoyment of warhammer. Some of those random effects remind me of the more annoying scenarios I've seen at tournaments.

It all seems so very overcomplicated...
GW wanted to streamline things with 8th edition and then they allow the creation of those charts...they will end up slowing the game down

I'd keep the standard bearer if you're going to a tournament. You might need it for the Blood and Glory scenario or for another that is similar.

Flamecage helps High Elves with something they have trouble against, namely hordes.
I've been thinking of somehow getting an MR item on the archmage and sitting her in the BSB's unit to protect him from death snipes. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks for the replies, everyone Also you need tools for monsters and ethereals, both of which are partially covered by a prince and noble with the magic bows. I would also consider going with fireball and either sword or flamecage for the extra missile, and also getting ring of fury somewhere. A sc...

Hello I've decided to give LSG a go and see how they perform in my current meta. I'll have ample time to work out the kinks of the list(s) on league nights and the next local event won't be until sometime in late March if my guess is correct. Re: Death or Beast VS warhammer armies
I feel that Death is far better against the beastmen army since they rely so much on their characters' leadership to keep them around. 98% of Beastmen armies bring the same BSB setup (2+ armor save, 6+ parry with +1 Str banner) so he's easily removed with a spirit leech spell. Also, more and more Be...

I would like to include the possible addition of the following hero to your army list. He's worth a shot...
