Re: 2500 army list from Warhammer Armies Project

The big problem is getting hold of the minis you want. When I have money there are none I need on ebay. When I do not have money.... Anyway, I really would like to have one more repeater. And more Silver helms. More spears would not be bad either. After all, Cothique is famed for their spears and ve...

Re: 2500 army list from Warhammer Armies Project

Thanks for all feedback!
I made the warriors when I was making an elf army for Oathmark and wondered if I could use them in WAP.

I could bring in my Sea Guards in their place. Spears and bows in one sweet combo.

2500 army list from Warhammer Armies Project

So now I got all this painted and ready for a game using the rules from Warhammer Armies Project. Opponent most likely Tomb kings. The army is based in Cothique. Characters: Ceyl'in - Loremaster    325 Ogre blade, Talisman of Preservation, Sceptre of Stability & Heavy armour   Celenna - Lv2 Mage...

Warhammer Armies Project parry save rule

I have been away for so long that I have lost touch with many concepts.

The Shield of the Merwyrm grants a 4+ parry. But if I remember correctly it was always the case that it was only when you use a standard hand weapon that you get parry.

Re: Any one want a good old arena fight?

The Doors flies open and someone enter in a hurry. It turns out to be a high elf, apparently of Cothiqian decent based on his choice of colour and a lingering taste of salty seaweed in the air. "What? A fight! Finally it has been ages!" He stops and look around at the empty room and the da...

Re: Oathmark - Were hope can spring anew!

It is more streamlined than WHFB but the limit on max 20 minis for an infantry unit and 10 for cavalry does away with deathstars and blobs. Units are five wide if you and max extra ranks are three. Where it really shines is the kingdom building and in the campaign system. It is really made to be pla...

Oathmark - Were hope can spring anew!

Hello! I realize it is more than two years since I last visited and it is scary. Many new names, few you recognize... Time has passed. Anyway, after the End times I sort of gave up. Sure, played some games on Kings of War but it was not really the same. However, this old Ent have come back to square...

Wings of Glory is fun, but I have not been able to get into it. I own a box of its predecessor, Wings of War. A damn fine game!

Working at a Museum dedicated to the history of flight have rekindled my love for The knights of the air.

The old Ent has been busy - Ramesesis gossips about himself

Hello and welcome to the Ulthuan Inquirier. We have some breaking news about a certain spiderwebbed old ent by the name Ramesesis. Having been almost lost from sight for three years, following a somewhat turbulent divorce, the grey Ent have been seen sporadically uttering gibberish in old entish. Bu...

Good to see you back, Facade!

I got to play a game of Kings of War. FINALLY!

My elves are coming back to the tabletop. Ramesesis and Lord Raimie will be busy in the future!

First game since AoS - Starting Kings of War

Me and my friend had not played in over two years! We had been deliberating over what we should start with or try. We had been looking at 9th age but not having a solid book read but instead having to print a lot did not appeal to us. Kings of War looked overtly simplistic. And it was clear that the...

Re: Not 8th edition, not 9th Age, and DEFINITELY not AoS

I may be a bit radical here but I would, based on my recent expirience, suggest switching to other rules. Kings of War looks overtly simplistic on the surface but when me and my friend finally got to play a game (our first since AoS crashed the party) we were suprised over how smoothly it ran. Every...

What about the aelves?

So, I know they have divided the old HE in several minifactions that seems unplayable with maybe only two choices and maybe not even heroes to go with. The Dark elves also seem to have been divided in several mini-factions, and all in all it looks a lot like faction of factions which should mess up ...

The good colonel has answer for everything! If you are unarmed you strike him with a straight punsch at the nose. A lady packing a parasoll should either stab his face or groin as you would with a rapier. As a gentleman really should go nowhere without his cane he could make good use of it and, to q...

I have down lades the free rules and some basic armylist for KoW 2. Me and a friend have agreed to try 2000 point game. I will run my elves.

Otherwise, I like the Kingdoms of Men list so I can use Empire and start collecting proper pikes!

I will buy the new rulebook too.

Re: 9th Edition rumours

A free list of basis rules is just a trick. You will hardly be satisfied by them and need to buy full rules. But if... IF GW do release the whole rules for free then I might be interested. Background IS important. Since you have your own background, I cannot interact with you in meaningful way. We c...

And why have too ask for more info? Rubbish talk. They could simply post all important info. And Richard background my ass. They had a Richard background. It takes a short while to write a hundred pages, it takes decades to build a tradition!
You cannot make any shortcuts.
