Re: Home page bad links
Hammer and Anvil was actually unit and rules development, notably new Regiments of Renown. It had a decided Dogs of War lean, but developing Regiments of Renown will do that. I still have the last viable version saved on my computer. It's far too old to want to risk putting on the internet now days,...

Did you realise it's been more than 20 years now?
There are adults today who were not alive when this iteration of the forums was installed. But it has been the longest running and most stable iteration of the boards, and while social media has rather taken over from bulletin boards* (Facebook opened to the general public in 2006), somehow we are s...

Re: Hello
They're probably somewhere. I'm just not sure where. I wouldn't be surprised if Ricold has parts of it lying around somewhere. If you know how to reach him you could prod him and see if he knows. Yes, and no. Yes, I have the backups from that period, but no means of accessing them in a usable forma...

Probably... ?
The files would have been in either root, /home, or /library, the database prefix was modx_.
If not, my local copy can be packaged up. But it doesn't work on a modern server due to using a deprecated version of php.

Library
I long aspired to get the library software working again. However I have to be realistic that it wasn't going to happen. elendor_f PMed me yesterday to ask if I could help getting him access to the library. In the process, I discovered that the library software (running on a virtual machine copy of ...

Re: [6th Edition]
Following a PM from elendor_f, I came to follow this up. The problem with the library is it is a piece of software, and a very old one at that. It doesn't run on a modern server, and I have a fairly complex set up which dates back to 2010 to be able to access my local copy. I did discover that it ha...

Re: Merging a bit more with Druchii and Asrai?
Given all the domains are on the same server, the following looks to be technically possible, if beyond my coding skill: Each domain having it's own files, and theme*. When you register from a given domain you lock in that theme (changeable) for your account on all three. When someone registers they...

Re: USA to UK postage help
Delay of several weeks is not an issue. Here is the information I can give you though. Getting it shipped to my address was somewhere between USD 6 and 7 (I closed the window by mistake). Shipping to the UK would be about $14 for one set based on the weight they gave, another set probably wouldn't a...

USA to UK postage help
You lovely people are some of the few international friends I have and would trust, and I need a little help. I am trying to buy something that is incredibly hard to get inside the EU, but is relatively easy to obtain in the USA. This is the product: http://www.superdairyboytoys.com/product_info.php...

What is it going to change from the point of view of a regular forum member?
But otherwise nothing, we've changed backends.
Oh, I suppose if we crash our server it'll take the Druchii down with us.

Welcome to the shores of Naggaroth. We will be setting up camp here while the island makes it's way over. Or in real terms: The site looks like it has transferred with success. Please return to your normal posting. Keep your eyes on www.ulthuan.net. When it stops giving the board offline message, th...

Server transfer
Sorry about the downtime yesterday, taking a full manual backup has never been the most smooth of exercises. I'm starting the process of moving our hosting out from under us. We will be trying desperately not to have more than a few days downtime, but.... you all by now know that my plans have never...

Re: You probably never saw this coming
In which case I'm making a decision. We will be going to the Druchii server, and we'll have downtime to deal with in the middle. The slight flaw with your plan there Daeron is that DNS changes have been known to take up to a week to propose to all the cache servers across the internet. We'll just ha...

Evergore??
This will seem like a strange question, and I never recommend following random links or searches on the internet.
Does anyone here know what Evergore is? It appears to be a German RPG system, but my search skills and Google translate from german are not getting me much further.

Re: 7th Ed PDF
Is it still a no-no even if the item in question is OOP and no longer for sale outside of the re-sale market? Depressingly yes. For this reason I had to go and obtain a copy of Windows 3.1, because despite being over 20 years old and severely deprecated, Microsoft still won't release it as freeware...

There is nothing wrong with asking. If someone were to email you the result, we could prove nothing. However the posting of rules is both against rule 3, not to mention illegal, and from bitter experience GW does not take it lightly. I encourage people to not post answers into pm either, as that cau...

Really looking forward to more pics from people.
