Anduil of Elithis wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2025 10:24 am Really looking forward to seeing these finished! How long do you reckon does it take to paint these at your standard?
I think it will take the whole month to finish these, I’m getting a color done on 8 or so models done a night. The technique does start snowballing but there is still a lot to do.

Re: Prince Tûrion Rilyalocë and the Golden Drake Laurëdrauginir

Finally getting around to painting core. I have a a habit of doing all the cool stuff first. But I’m in a slow grow league that gives out points for completing a unit every month and 2 Seaguard blocks are all I have left haha. The shields look cool but definitely take a minute to paint. Everything e...

Re: The Host of Tor Elithis - A Tale of the Elithesi

My Elves of Silvermoor Skycutter arrived today and I got to work on it as long as the kids let me. Lovely model that I look forward to finish building and then painting :D After some repair steps due to the slightly brittle resin, I am getting closer to the finish line with building the Skycutter. ...

Re: Official Preview of High Elves has dropped

Glad I didn’t hold out hope for new spearmen and just went with 3d prints. Looks like it will only be the book, reference, and new characters for me.

Excited for the new magic items.

Re: Arimies of Infamy special rules wishlist

Hopefully the HE release is a bit sooner than a month so I can buy everything sans sales tax (Canada)! I would definitely have the Star Lance on a wish list, that was always my favorite magic items in older editions. Would make me think about taking a prince on griffon instead of a noble even if it...

``` I've also received confirmation that the swap between Beastmen and HE is false. HE are releasing roughly a month from now. A couple of bits of information on HE: The twins are 100% confirmed not to be in the book. The other character is new. I don't have hard confirmation on the second AoI; my s...
Re: Invocation of Nehek Rules Question
I also play VC. Info here is correct. Just to translate how most of that looks in game: -Invo of Nehek first heals characters, then command models, then rank and file. The order is clear in the resurrecting rules. -This does mean that you may be stuck fighting the same unit champion very often. So ...
Re: New FAQ is up
Doesn’t earthen ramparts make the unit count as if defending a low linear object? So then according to that entry, you don’t get stomps? Yeah, I personally agree with your interpretation, there's precedent for "unit counts as X" granting any boons that come with X, specifically "coun...
Re: New FAQ is up
The only real thing I see that could affect dragons would be having to include your wheels into your charge distance and not being able to stomp over real linear obstacles. Unless folks were really into that silly, bonus armor adds to regen/ward saves thing that they clarified. Important to note, t...
Re: Invocation of Nehek Rules Question
Funny enough, the banner is never captured unless the unit is run down or entirely destroyed in combat, which at that point, would not be eligible for having wounds reallocated to it via any means. So technically, as long as the champion is still standing, the standard bearer comes back with the ba...
it's written out in the "resurecting the fallen" on p154 of the Ravening Hordes book: - first characters are fully healed - then multi-wound models (until they're fully healed) - then command, in the order champion, standard bearer, musician - then rank and file You can't go over the star...
Invocation of Nehek Rules Question
So the ability says you can restore a number of wounds to a unit based on its unit type, but doesn’t say wether that can be used to raise command group models. Can this be done, and specifically can they raise the unit champion who is a character, and call a challenge the round it is raised? What ab...
They released the unit of Bretonnian knights on foot. But since that unit did not exist before, I am not sure if that really counts.
Yah that’s probably it. Is there anything in the HE range that doesn’t have a model?
It's a pipe dream of mine that GW will remake the Swordmasters into a kit that has some more dynamic posing like these. Your army is looking fantastic, can't wait to see it all arrayed on the field of battle once you have every single unit painted up. An auspicious start to the new year. It was tru...
First finished model of 2025, I love how hot spots make the NMM pop, but I hate painting them haha. Just hundreds of dabs per model in white.
Luckily I found a Golden brand that has nice flow, was painful when the paint would dry ever 3-4 spots.
You may want to blend your resins or find one that isn’t as brittle. I’m part of a company that produces 3D printed miniatures, I can make a few recommendations if you’d like. What’s the company? It's called The Nailon Realm, it's a small independent studio that produces very whimsical miniatures a...
How are the Sisters? I don’t think I saw them in the store I was using. Really good quality. But after the Skycutter taking a 40cm dive and breaking one of the sails this morning, I am a bit concerned with those very thin parts on the Sisters, most of all the arrows.
