Lovely models! And great paintjob, very characterful :D

Great looking models, especially the wardancer, really cool to see them painted. Nice job!

These ones turned out quite well I think. I'm getting the hang of them. I've currently got 18 armored HE archers on the table. After that it's just some melenbonian archers, some bowmen or Oreon, and then whatever odds and ends I come up with. Plus mounted archers of course, but there aren't so many of those with bows in hand.

Keep at it, they look really nice! Do you think we could get a few shots of the host assembled for battle? :)

They were worth the wait ;)

I do think that the warhorn of the musician could use something extra. It's a bit bland now. Though it sort of fits with the natural colors of the unit. But it feels like it could be more of an eye catcher.

I fought back and forth on that musician to be honest. Any suggestions would be welcome. I had ideas when I was going to use a bright spot color. But they are supposed to be scouts so I let that go.

I see your point. I have the same problem when coming up with a suggestion. Bright colors on scouts are silly. And they also wouldn't work very well with the natural colors you've got on the rest of the unit.

Maybe pick out some of the details in bronze or iron. It now suggests that the whole thing is made of a single piece of wood. Having something like the feathers or the band in the middle (around the hand holding it) in a metallic colour changes that.

I've managed to sit down an paint for more than an hour for two consecutive nights now. Perhaps two units of 10 armored archers will be coming soon.

Finally back at it. I lost almost a week to allergies so bad I couldn't really focus enough to paint.

And here we go. I went with the same colors for both units so I can combine them to have a unit of 15, or do a unit with no command if I want. At first I was going to put them all in one unit, but then what would I do with the 2nd champion? I'm short a (spare) standard. I only have one of the 2nd sculpt, and he goes with the spears, the plastic spearman makes a good replacement for now though.

The old hammer archers are already progressing. And I've got some maiden guard primed. Maybe I'll have to count things up after that, I'll be close to a 5th edition army. Perhaps I'll so some spears and an RBT or something.

I've been off teaching scouts how to climb rocks, but I got sick for a week and made some progress. One week of camp left and I'll be back at it. Should have a unit of oldhammer archers and and an Imrik done fairly quickly when I return.

Sounds pretty cool. Outdoor rocks or indoor ones?
