+1. They're just great. I actually like all your Orc models. Are you working towards a specific Orc warband or just getting the set complete?

Those are just ones that I found for a really good price, were the old style that I like, and it looked like enough to make a decent warband. And it came out almost perfect. The leader is a bit fancier than I want. But it's not a huge problem. At first I wasn't going to give them any NG stuff. But then I started toying with making a Goblin Army and realized 10 squigs is about right, so why not let these guys have 5?

Also a beautifully organic paint job.

The Troll is obviously great but I'd like to praise the imperials, too. A neat, striking colour scheme - just what the doctor ordered!

They are a step up from the Marienburgers I painted a few years back. Fortunately it's the captain, and a hero with a fancy gun, so it's ok if they look a little better.

The forest goblins are done, except for bases, shields, and 3 banners.

You'd think after all the minis I've painted over the years I'd remember how much work those 3 things really are.

Just 24. 5 Spider riders with a banner. And the rest are a mix of archers swords (with two spears, but they'll count as hand weapons when doing WFB). The 2nd foot banner is really just because I have it (someone sent me a bunch of forest goblins after seeing my NG painted. I'll probably count them both as "boss poles" for mordheim anyway, so it works out.

True. I decided I needed to get a picture while the sun was still up. As much as I'm improved my lighting situation for indoor photos the sun is still better.

I seem . to still be on a goblin kick. I painted up a few more squigs (I decided the Orcs should have some), and right now I've got some squig hoppers clubber/netters, fanatics, 2 ogers, and Groms Chariot in progress. The theory was norse after that, but maybe I'll do those amazons finally instead. Or the lead belcher...

WAAAGH!

Or rather WAAAAGH!

There's a lot of variety in goblins. And they lend themselves to both serious units, modelling and painting and to going all out cartoony fun. And everything in between. And you can always use a couple of extra bodies.

The little buggers look great. I especially like the banners :)

I've got a few greenskins on the way, so I'm waiting before I start on the ones on my painting table. In the mean time I started a couple other projects. I'm sure some of you will know what they are.

So I'm guessing the one on the left is Grom's? As for the other...didn't you just do one of these Shannar?

Correct on both counts. I wasn't going to do Grom, but I found one for $10 and couldn't say no. I also picked 1+ (just missing the sides on the 2nd) more of of the elf chariots up for a fair bit cheaper than one usually sells for. I have alternate crew models ready to go, and in 3rd edition you can have up to 3 of them, so I figured "why not".

Nice painting, basing and great choice of miniatures! Attention to detail with bowstrings and arrows. As it should be! A pleasure to look at. I especially like the ballistas with wheels, and Gobbos. Gnaaaagh!

Always a great reason :D

One thing I like about gobbo's is that they're fairly cheap all round. So while you shouldn't go overboard, you can add some fun toys on the cheap, just because. In a HE army, this can get expensive very fast.

Wolves are done, horses are nearly done. Riders are a bit far off, and then bases. And niblet is going to need a banner. I've also got a couple Ogres finished that I'm waiting to varnish and put on their bases.

Love the second model in particular and the way you've done him Shannar. Is he Golgfag's?

Those classic minis really do bring back memories! Nice to see that they are still getting some love =D>
