That's a High Elf Sword Master from GW, A type two Infantry from DUST, a Royal Marine from Warlord, a Perry Twins Desert Rat, and a Keisotsu Butai from Infinity.
All 28mm...
One of the most infuriating parts of this hobby I must say.

Well the scale differences on things with the same designation drive me crazy.

I'm mostly fine with it, as long as I don't mix them up, like my BA commandos couldn't mix with the desert rats, not only are they different theatres of war, but slightly different scale.

I just bugs me when I make a building or something that should be useful cross system, and then some of them can't see out the windows.

Ah yea, terrain, that can be an issue. I'd love to be able to use terrain in multiple systems.
Basically forests and trees are the only thing that can used universally, except in Star War that is...

My High Elves aren't very quick, but wow I'm smashing these Desert Rats out. Pretty happy I don't have to paint more Elves for a bit, other than finishing off my Shadow Warriors that is, I love them but feck they're challenging~

I'm actually getting through things at a reasonable pace. I should have 15 archers finished this week, have finished 10 swordmasters last week, Eltharion is finished. All I have left is...... 15 more archers, 10 more phoenix guard (and touch ups on the other 10), BSB, touch ups on 5 silver helms, finish building and paint an RBT, touch ups on about 15 spears and one of my eagles needs to be painted.
Then basing on all of them! that really sounds like alot! :S

Elessehta, what's your next GW project?

Hhmm... next GW project, kind of too broke atm to start the sky cutter, but I do have a couple of old metal heroes I want to do, one of them being the high elf mordheim character, and the other is one of my favourite models in the old range.

ah... GW do tend to be expensive, and I feel the pain! Also, how's the spray compressor/thingo going? does it make things easier and quicker?

I was thinking today at work, maybe I could start my Phoenix Guard. The Maiden Guard I'll be mixing the unit with are a pretty green colour, maybe I could use my airbrush, and the green primer I use for my WWII British Armour to prime them green rather than black. Might be an idea...
The Airbrush, is nice, it's so easy to use, and it does such a nice job.

I've been rushing through my Guild Crew for Malifaux, we have a tournament on at club this weekend, and as a core member I need to participate ^_^

Image

I got my Maiden Guard yesterday! They're nice:

The old Everqueen is so much better than the new one:

Image

Now I just need to paint the Phoenix Guard, I want them to mix well, but be different, so I was thinking a turquoise, maybe teal?

Guild crew look meeeeeaaaan! Nice work!

I forget what colour the rest of your army is... So you may want to tie your PG in with them too. My PG have no colour scheme ties with the rest of my army, and that was deliberate. My theory was that they sit at the shrine waiting for the next battle and ship off to "where ever they already knew they were going" haha

My army for the most part is traditional blue white, but some of the units have turquoise added here and there, namely the Sea Guard with their sash, and the Dragon Prince's cloaks, it's very dark however.

Heck no, I'm painting my Phoenix Guard to match~ Well not match, but be close but still different.
Before I start them though, I need to finish off my Desert Rats for Point Defence, so far I have one model completed:

The rest of them still need their weapons and webbing done, and bases.

Yeah, the dune-like texture is very nice, as is the whole miniature :)

The Everqueen and her bodyguard are great, too - the turquoise is so vibrant!

Infinity demo day is happening next club meet so I thought I best add some more paint to my JSA, especially the TAG;

Need to add some blue here and there, bunt he's coming along nicely.

It's been a little while since I posted an update, got my Wood Elf book Saturday, and picked up the new special Character while I was there.
He's a cool model, and was pretty easy to put together. I started base coats on him tonight, I don't normally paint on Mondays but it was just base colours.

Image

I did something different, I started with the flesh tone. I've been told this can be good, and thought I'd give it a go.
I want brown robes, and the orange is being used as a base for gold/silver. He looked good until I did that bit, but these are base coats so not mean to look pretty.
