I've been thinking about the new abilities to ignore march-blocking and to reform if you pass a leadership test, which lets you maneouvre past a blocking eagle. Clearly this makes eagles less effective, as you can't depend on these effects now.
What I'm also thinking though is that the enemy can't depend on passing the Ld tests. I think I'm correct in saying that a BSB would make it more reliable and a high Ld army would too but it's not 100%. The enemy will find it harder to plan knowing that suddenly a key unit may fail to reform or be march-blocked leaving a gap in the line.
What do you think?

Re: Eagles and Ld Tests
Eagles will still have their place. Though not an automatic march block to slow down the enemy, having to maneuver around the bird can be disrupting enough and eat up the distance moved leaving the enemy unit in odd positions. Might result in a juicy flank steak.
Battle Standard Bearer. Don't leave home without it.

The key thing I guess is that we're still only talking about 50pts here...
