I've had a Beastmen army for years. All you you need to do is show up -- and you beat them. :D

you can beat most of the normal stuff in the army.

Just rush his general and kill it then the rest of his army should be scared shitless.

HOWEVER

there are some things you need to watch out for.

the ghorgon is deadly as fuck. T6 6 wounds ld 10 stubborn terror monster with movement 7.

The hero with slugskin (if he has any) is DEADLY to all your infantry. every model in base to base takes a str3 hit. treated like impacthits but happens before impacthits.

Minotaurheroes are hard as fuck.

To describe how dangerous a minotaur BSB with slugskin is i'd like to give you an example of what happened first time i played beastmen...

I had a 14man swordmasters unit with lion standard and got charged by the frenzy BSB minotaur with slugskin. Impacthits and slugskin killed all 4 in base to base after that he made his attacks. naturally i had no chance of standing firm. ran away, rallied, got charged again same thing happened with the exception that he had 1 extra attack...

Ofcourse you can take away his frenzy with balance standard but it doesn't make him alot less deadly. Something to look out for. :P

Good luck!

I can see the potential of balance standard with so much frenzy and hatred anyway. Also, the lion standard sounds a safe bet as well, seeing as they have a fair number of fear causers. Make sure your archers can perform as meatshields even when ambushed to the rear, protect the RBTs with them!

Don't ever get into a fight with minotaurs that you can't win, you're just handing them an extra attack :/. For example don't try and hold them still with some WLs, as they will lose, but hold through stubbornness, giving the minotaurs extra attacks.

I got lucky with my encounter with them. Got of a successful Conflag on them caused a couple of wounds the previous turn, then charged them to the front with 5 DP + BSB with Battle Banner, Spears in the flank (16 + Prince with Greatweapon TOL). The Mino hero challenged my Prince, prince did his damage, got whacked and teleported directly onto his 5 skirmishers!

Dragon princes killed 2, he killed 2 Dragon princes, broke and got run down :)
