Hi guys!

It's been a long time since my last post. Haven't played with the Asur for quite a while now, but that's about to change.
Next month there will be a small and fun tournament at my local hobby club which has the following restrictions.

1.000 points
No Lords
Max. 250 points Heroes
Min. 400 points Core
Max. 400 points Special
Max. 100 points Rare
Max. 30 models per unit and/or 250 points per unit

1,5 hour games on 4x4 tabletops.
5 games on one day! :)

These restrictions got me excited to bring out some High Elves again.
Here's the list I was planning to bring. Please let me know what you guys think about it.

*Noble (General) ---125

-Heavy Armour
-Lance
-Enchanted Shield

*Mage, lvl1 High Magic ---120
-Elven Steed
-Kaine's Ring of Fury

Noble goes in the first rank and the Mage in the second of the SH.

Fun challenge you have here m8

I think i would go "boots in the ground" to have loads of models opponent have to kill insteed of small elite units.

Archers will shoot light units, lions to take care of armour. Double beast mages to max you chance to get the amber spear and double wyssans to add you units.

Qwes list is quite far from your list. It is good though(ld 8 general without musicians is prob. Not that good). Archers just cannot take the flame banner. I'd modify it with double shadow lvl2, pendant lions and unit musicians.

I think at least you should drop the reavers. Two eagles are enough chaff. I agree with qwe that cav. List is probably not the best way to go here. Those rules really suggest a eagle rare, double lvl2 and a archer core to optimal solution. Lions are prob. The best choice also for special. Cannot invent a better list that qwe:s list with my mods.

2xlvl2 shadow
2x20ish archers, mus and 0-2 banners
18ish lions, mus, pendant banner
2xeagles

I have to get my book back
it use to be one unit core could have a banner :D
Shadow will Work too. But I think beast is a safer bit because of the double wyssans and lower casting costs
mindrazer will be more of a roll of but is also much more game winning than wyssan, same with pit vs amber spear.
Well i don't have to choose :D

Double spells are not anymore possible, except with loremaster mage combo. Shadow is all about toughness decreaser. Twin mages help you to get it. S3 Shooting is a lot of more effective. Lions benefit from enemy str decreaser and signature. Lions tend to die fast against strike first troops. Crown of alc is probably a good idea to get to your general. Also you can shadow switch the general away from harms way to the other mage or to the mage that has better spells. So

Lvl 2 shadow, crown of alc, general
Lvl 2 shadow
2x19 arch., mus
18 lions, pendant banner
2x1 eagles

Exactly 1k, if I calculated right.
