Been inactive for awhile but interested by the AOS rules. Hoping to put together a small battle with my son to try it out.
Looking for feedback on the lists. I used the Azyr comp guide to try approximating an even force. Here is what I came up with for a "10 point" game:
Night Goblin Horde
Night Goblin Warboss on Squig
Night Goblin Shaman
20 x Night Goblins
2 x Night Goblin Fanatic
10 x Cave Squigs w/ 2 Herders
High Elf Army
Mage
10 x Archers
6 x Swordmasters
Great Eagle
Both comped out to 10 points. They seemed like reasonable forces for starting battles.

Re: First AOS Game
I've had some fun with the kids with the game. I wouldn't complicate it with a comp guide for that situation though. Just let him pick a few units and then pick a few bases on his choices. Personally I let my kids have a bit of an advantage there, but some of that has to do with age as well.
