Sounds promising indeed :)

I must admit I'm slightly jealous of the number of games you manage to play :)

@prince

I currently have 4 children and fulltime job (however I am able to do work at home so it saves little time due no commute). This means that pretty much only time I manage to play is during nights. Luckily Necromunda is quite fast game to play, thus usually doesn't take too long.

But the real reason why I am able to play so much, is that we are renting a dedicated place with our gaming group where our terrain and minitatures are stored. Without the tedious logistical problems, scheduling games with friends is really simple.

all in all our campaign is starting to come to its end as we agreed that 9.3.2019 is the last event. Hopefully everyone in the campaign can attend and we will play last games and finally one multiplayer game to settle quarrels once and for all. Naturally with a cup of tee (as the Necromunda rulebook suggest... I am not kidding :D )

A shrewd retreat it seems.

Classic Rick Priestley. One of his White Dwarf Batreps had a tactics discussion titled ‘How to pour the tea.’

@spellarcher yeah, I though that it would be the only sensible thing to do. In this battle first time I really benefitted from the generatorium (it basicly makes battlefield pitch black, effectively makes ranged attacks only 3 inch (or 12 if photovisors etc). Fighters becomes visible if they shoot or are blazed, or some other effects. Unfortunately the generatorium only stalled lights for one turn. (By RAW i could have simply elected another blackdown right after as technically the generatorium rules doesn't forbid it, but we have agreed on the gaming group that it is once in a battle ability, which imo it should be)

The lights came up, my leader was about to take a plasma cannon shot. I think Shawn wouldn't like that too much. Also my opponent had ogryn (or we called them Vagryn as he made them out of van saar + orc bits. They are slightly smallish to be ogryn :D ) closing in too fast. I probably might have caused one fighter to go out, but he would most likely caused atleast two more casualty to my gang. Tactical voluntary retreat was pretty much only thing to do.

I also forgot to take pictures after Jimmy exploded with unstable weapons. Not that there were much to see anyway (pun intended).

I've seen it in a couple of other GW books as well. A sensible piece of advice I think. Tea is important, as are cookies to accompany said tea of course ;)

I’m sure Rick would confirm that it’s biscuits Rod. However, my American-influenced son would disagree.

Our campaign came to its ending 9.3 and we were supposed to great finale. First couple games then last final multiplayer gng moot. I got sick and couldn't attend and sadly so couldn't many others. in the end there was only buff dudes and van saaremaa playing for one last game.

AND what is the most sad part, no tea.... we failed Necromunda Rulebook =(

Here is the campaign ending stats

You live and learn ;) For me, biscuits would be a subset of cookies. Shows that translating only gets you so far...

Commiserations on missing the last games. And congrats on 3rd place overall (? I think).

Here, roughly, cookies are big round things while biscuits vary.

It is eternal struggle. In Necromunda more terrain is better and even more terrain is even better :D

It is nice that over the years we have plenty of terrain to have multiple games at the same time.

Well the second game was certainly more successful Loriel! Great battlefield.

Yeah, however warcry definitely has more luck factor than other gw games I have played. For example that comet encounter it was d6 roll where it could fall in any of the four quadrants and on roll 5-6 in the middle of battlefield. If that would have dropped in the lava river bridge my opponent would have most likely win the game since his reinforcement came right in there (as was for my mirrorblades which came in the last turn right near the object)

Also the basic mechanic that warcry only has one attack roll, which effectively is to hit / to wound / armor save in same roll, and this special rule that natural six is critical strike. Most attacks does something like 1 / 4 - 2 / 5 damage (this means that normal hit is the first and second hit is critical) So in short usually the player that manages to score more critical hits wins.

Naturally all dice games has luck factor but as we all oldhammerers now when you roll enough dices they tend to fall in quite average thus the luck factor tend to be minimized.

Don't get me wrong, i really enjoy this game. It is fast paced, lore is nice, new models are truly magnificents. Its great game to get couple games with friends.

I just love your terrain. So many nice pieces. They really add to a skirmish game. Reminds me that I really should start putting together the terrain I have lying around.
