Meet Metal.
I'm a fan.
This guy takes pop songs, game music, classics - and twists them into something METAL.
Here's a few of my favorites:
Metal Gear Solid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lyRvs4gLpg
Game of Thrones - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYjuj3ggaKA
Daft Punk - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvQCp_kPPsE
Guile's Theme (Goes with Everything) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHMcG5hBXkY
Castlevania - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ol6rpgJGf8
Enjoy~

Odd that you'd post this up today because I just found the guy yesterday and watched most of his stuff! I'd recommend him as well.

Re: Meet Metal.
Gotta check these out when I get on my laptop. I was so relieved this wasn't one of the "I've never been much into metal but would like to try some bands out as long as they're not satanic and stuff" threads I feared it'd be.

There are a lot of musicians that redid various Castlevania themes using heavy guitars on yout-be. Check out Vomitron.

Re: Meet Metal.
Therion would be the best example of a Symphonic Metal band.
Else I leave it to the wiki to explain ;P

I'm not going to lie, and I'm not ashamed to say, that his rendition of the MLP theme is amazing.
Also does a good Dr. Who. The man is a hero and a smiling, good natured national treasure.

Thank you, thank you very much And I have to say that that is (IMO) a very neat genre and one I can't believe I didn't find out about earlier.Silver wrote:Therion would be the best example of a Symphonic Metal band.
